Actually, that was Put Out Your Lights beating Radio Bomb. a close second, I'll give you that. But The Fine Art... would probably have been my pick for #1.
-
oh and Tripoli beating The Fine Art of Falling Apart is the worst mass decision this board has ever made.

That kid be straight pimpin'. And the clock shows he respects the old-school, which is lost on too many young gangstas these days.

SPOON!!! I heart them bigtime. My avatar is actually Britt Daniel's legs. -
1. Avalanche 2. Fated 3. Weapon 4. Born to Kill 5. Prime Time Deliverance Four really easy picks, but that last one was a bitch.

The chances of this happening I think are pretty slim. All the rumours I heard were back from a few years ago, and I did I quick google and got a bunch of quotes from Mike Myers and Seth Green saying it might happen, but it probably won't.

That Nas song is brilliant. But dude, first rule of mix tapes is never more than one track by an artist. C'mon! -
Need Music For My Ipod
crazycanuck replied to Peter Griffin's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
For me the ipod isn't just about music though. I work at a hotel (in sales) which is a 45 minute bus ride from my home. The ipod is awesome for me: As a music lover it's great because it's compact (fits in my inside jacket pocket), holds a lot of music, and doesn't skip simply becuse it's an mp3 player. It also has a calendar so I can schedule all of my appointments with clients that I work with (I book conference rooms). It stores any necessary contact information (both personal and business). It also features a world clock so I know exactly what time it is if I'm dealing with clients overseas or on the other side of Canada. I have an alarm sound programmed to play to wake me before my stop when I have to come in to work very early (Being to work at 7am means getting up at 4:30 for me); I can catch an extra 30 minutes of sleep on the bus. I can also save all of my contracts and important documents that I'm working on if it will take me 20 minutes to finish them and the bus leaves in 15. That way I don't wait an hour to get the next bus but I finish all of my days work by finishing off little extras for 30 minutes or so at home. you named your ipod? There's a show of devotion. But then again, I've seen articles about people who clothe their ipods and basically treat them like children, so you're not that bad yet. -
Isn't Scrubs off the air now? What happened to it?

Ah yes. Fell off the back of a truck did they?

hmm ok. (2k6 is better.)

Yup, Quebec loves those leafs. Oh wait. But you know, just because the Leafs have a large fanbase doesn't mean they're the greatest team. Hitler had a pretty large fanbase back in the day.

Arrested Development apparently is a pretty expensive show to produce, so that may deter some of the cable networks. NBC would be wise to pick this up and pair it with The Office.

I hate to see it happen, but the writing was on the wall. Maybe a Family Guy-esque comeback could play out though, so go buy all the DVDs.

New Prozzak Album!?
crazycanuck replied to Crusader's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
They may be entirely disposable, but a good pop song can be killer. Take "Since U Been Gone", there's no big idea to it, there's nothing going on with the lyrics, it's not an art statement, but when I'm at a party/club, that's the song I want to hear. Every genre has its place. -
It's cool, it's cool, but you couldn't you at least have come with a more interesting title?

but Where Have All The Rude Boys Gone?

(I preface this by stating, I'm drunk, and ignore me as you wish) So I'm home for reading break and me and a few friends go to The Celler tonight for Britpop Thursdays, and it's a great time, and eventually 3 am rolls around and we're force to vacate. Me and a buddy go up to the stage to congratulate the house band on a job well done, and we go up to the drummer and talk to him, and he says his name is Pat and I say you look a lot like Pat from Matthew Good and The Odds, and he says I am that Pat. Blows my mind. We talk for a bit about the Arts County Fair debacle, and eventually I ask him why he's playing for a house band, and he says that the guitarist/lead singer (?) is formalry of the Odds. Blows my mind. I shake his hand and tell him how the great The Odds are. AND THEN, Pat Steward introduces me to Ryan Dahle, and I slobber all over him, and he introduces me to a couple of his friends, then I mention I saw him at the Ted Leo concert a few months back, and we both agree Ted Leo is great, and it was amazing. Best night ever. EDIT: And the title of this post gets edited. Not surprising, considering the language.
