I found all my classes at langara were 10 times harder than they are at SFU I can slack off more and get better grades, it's weird, or maybe I've just gotten smarter B) The reason why Langara was harder is because the classes were so small the teachers actually got to know you. You had a better chance of being called on, you couldn't miss a class without them knowing, etc. I like my 200 student Sociology class where I can skip a few days, or just read in the back and no one cares.

January 9th? Slacker. I go back on the 4th. As for College v University, University wins on so many levels. My year and a half at Langara College pales in comparison to my first term at Uvic. Better schooling, better social life, better everything. The only thing community college has going for it is the lower tuition fees.

Anyone see that study where they linked Abortion to drops in crime rate? It basically operated on the theory that without abortion, these unwanted children usually grow up in low-income houses and turn to crime.

Why shouldn't young people have a say in our society? True, youth have a different view of the world but what makes that less important than the middle-aged? Aside from schooling, there are issues such as minimum wage, driving restrictions, and the such that affect teens, and they should have a say. The only main problem I have with 16 and 17 year olds voting is the fact that they don't pay full taxes. If they get the vote, they should pay as well. It's only fair.
