  1. Wow, driftinginfluence is a real douche. But of course I'd be too chickenshit to tell him in real-life. Moral of the Story: Never, ever take the internet seriously. Why get worked up about what someone who lives thousands of miles away thinks of you? Oh, and Dan, you really need to hear Joy Division. I should upload some.
  2. i worship you!! YOU DIDN'T SEND IT AS A WMA!!!!;) i'm so happy about that!! If you truly wish to show gratitude, I accept cash or sexual favours.
  3. Yeah, I get that at Subway sometimes, but it pales to the Southwest Chipolte sauce.
  4. 1. Fine Art of Falling Apart 2. Born to Kill 3. Running for Home 4. The Inescapable Us (If Fine Art doesn't make it back, I'm holding you all personally responsible)
  5. Sufjan Stevens - The Black Hawk War, or, How to Demolish an Entire Civilization and Still Feel Good About Yourself in the Morning, or, We Apologize for the Inconvenience But You're Going to Have to Leave Now, or, "I have fought the Big Knives and will continue to fight them until they are off our lands!" That should give you something to work with.
  6. Ibi Dreams of Pavement is the best track on the new album! (Well except maybe 7/4 Shoreline)
  7. The Smiths - The Queen is Dead Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation Pixies - Doolittle Orange Juice - You Can't Hide Your Love Forever Talking Heads - Remain in Light Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique Joy Division - Closer
  8. You know, I had an interesting idea today. What if Arrested Development were to just exclusively release the new episodes on itunes? They already sell music videos for $2. $2 x 4 million people - $1.5 million product costs per episode = $6.5 million dollars in profit on each episode. Who needs television networks anymore?
  9. The New Pornographers - Streets of Fire
  10. 1. Advertising on Police Cars 2. Suburbia 3. Strange Days 4. Workers Sing a Song of Mass Production
  11. Here's The Episode Just aired last night. One of the best South Parks I've seen. They take on Scientology, R. Kelly, and Tom Cruise. Just watch it.
  12. I Turn My Camera On is the best song of 2005. Hands down.
  13. I tried to go to the Vancouver show last week, but it sold out too fast, and the all-ages show was a) in the afternoon B) going to feature younguns c) not allow me to drink. Three strikes.
  14. Nope, and I very much doubt I'll see any all winter. God bless the coastal rainforest. Evolution or Intelligent Design?
  15. you hipster poseur elite.
  16. Parachutes isn't that bad, I'll admit. But X&Y is one of the worst albums I've ever listened to. They're trying too hard to be U2, when, if they tried they could be a really good little pop band. Oh, and Chris Martin writes shit lyrics.
  17. the book was one of those things where it was really hard to turn into a movie because a lot of the story is played out in prose and thoughts, hence all the narration by John Cusack. The movie nailed the main bits, but there's so much more stuffed into the book, neverminding the scenes that had to be cut to trim the thing down.
  18. In the beginning there was nothing. Just the water. What's the longest you've gone without sleep?
  19. High Fidelity is fantastic, and pleases the music geek/rock snob inside of me. But of course the book was better, because it was something that had to be played out in a book, though the movie did a pretty damn good job (even if they did change the continent it was set in).
  20. I once almost went out with this girl, but then she told me she liked Coldplay, so I decided to never call her. No joke. "You know how I know you're gay? You listen to Coldplay."
  21. connecting the word "the" is just cheap! Refused - Summerholidays vs. Punkroutine
  22. ;)  I want to have Stephen Malkmus' babies one day.
  23. Wearing clocks is long overdue for a retro comeback. Maybe the kid's just ahead of the curve. In six months, everyone will be rockin the clock. Mark my words.
  24. umm, aren't these from Matt's manifestos?
  25. Electric Six - Nuclear War (On the Dance Floor)
