Not that bad if you like endless stabbings.

You mean the amazingly sad aiming of the Japanese and the SAS style/speed aiming of the Americans?

(Learn to hit a giant flamethrower American please, if you had killed him in one shot there would be a lot less Hollywood drama).

Pretty much. And that bit with the satchel harge that apparently has like...a five minute fuze. Like they wouldn't find it and throw it back before then.

"Yeah, let's leave a light machine gun on this table. Oh no! That American has it and is killing everyone. Why didn't I think about that."

Ah yes, the self-proclaimed "hotline suspense comedy". Any movie that ends with a glorious montage of nuclear detonations is up there in my book. And, of course, the cowboy bit. And fluids. Precious fluids. Another one where I can overlook the hideous technical inaccuracies surrounding the B-52s.

updated my list:

Platoon

Apocalypse Now

Band of Brothers (it counts ok)

Star Wars Ep.4-6 (heheheee counts too!)

Full Metal Jacket

Tigerland

Braveheart

Downfall

Rambo 2 & 3

...and if it counts, Dances With Wolves (American Civil War, plus some indians duking it out).

Seen bits of The Deer Hunter, but would like to watch it all. Also want to see "Letters From Iwo Jima".

There are only hideous techinical inaccuracies due to the DoD not allowing Kubrick to actually see the inside of one.
