Full Metal Jacket sucked ass....Apocalypse Now was alright...Platoon was really good, but Saving Private Ryan is the best. It was a little bit melodramatic, but the first 20 minutes are maybe the best 20 minutes ever put on film.

ex-roommate. after he graduated college he joined the army. wasn't anything like he thought it would be *kill stuff, shoot guns, blow shit up* and he quit. didn't really tell the officials he quit either. he just left.

I liked Apocalypse Now. Really well good movie.

 

I thought Full Metal Jacket was pretty good too. Especially the hooker. She was funny.

forrest gump isn't really thought of as a war movie, but it is, and one of my favs

 

nothing has topped Braveheart yet, IMO. it's still my favorite.

In Harms Way - John Wayne, Patricia Neal, Kirk Douglas...FREAKING AWESOME MOVIE. I was on the pier where one of the coolest scenes was shot in San Francisco, last week.
