There are only hideous techinical inaccuracies due to the DoD not allowing Kubrick to actually see the inside of one.

That'd do it. Also, the whole flying low and manoevering like a much smaller aircraft. B-52...even B-29....not exactly a groundhugger.

The Downfall, or "Der Untergang" a nice little German film about the final days of Hitler's power in WWII. I loved it because half of the officers in Hitler's bunker were really depressed that they lost the war to a bunch of god damn Commie's, and the rest were just getting shit faced because they knew they were dead!

 

watch out, it is in German with english sub-titles.

I know it's not a movie, but I've watched 8 episodes of Band of Brothers in the last 2 days and it is all kinds of awesome.

nah, not the navy. pacific theater, or even band of brothers, 'nam would be cool.

 

and thin red line is now my favorite war movie. i found it yesterday. hadn't seen it in forever, but it rocks.
