I dunno whether anyone else has done this but when I was younger I would make mix cds and write "Listen To Me" on them and leave them on busses, taped to street lamp poles, park benches, etc. Not as part of a street team, but just because I didn't think I was alone in my incessant desire to hear new music.

i think it's an identity thing. people like promoting cause they want to be associated with the product. it's like the girls who scream and cry at the sight of rockstars or whoever, to a lesser extent

I thought we were doing this because MG said it's his last record on his contract and he doubts if Universal is going to promote it at all. I think the album deserves promoting whether or not he's already successful.
