Hello all

On behalf of Matthew Good, here is an important message.

Today matthewgood.org was the victim of a highly

skilled hack that resulted in the loss of the entire

website. Nothing remains, everything has been

lost, even the backups that were stored on our

servers were deleted. As you can imagine, for those

of us that have put a great deal of time into the

website, we are devistated. We are in the process

of trying to determine who hacked into the website

and I have hired a professional firm to attempt to

discover the culprit. If you know anything about this,

I, on behalf of everyone that works on the website,

emplore you to come forward with any information

you might have. To the individual(s) responsible,

know that this matter will be dealt with swiftly,

that the authorities will most certainly be involved,

and those responsible will be prosecuted to the

fullest extent of the law.

If you have any information please email

[email protected]

Matt is pretty pissed off and so am I and everyone else who have worked on that website. So if you know anything, please tell Matt or myself.

I fucking hate people. Why the fuck would anyone do that?

That is so fucking childish in every way. Perhaps something else too.

I hate people sometimes. I really do.

Matt's been having a shitty year, why would someone do something like this to him?

I bet it's the guy at the start of "Flashdance II" who Matt reems out for not dissing his band properly.

Seriously though, that is fucking lame. I don't see why anyone would want to destroy something numerous people have worked so hard on, whether they like them or not.

That's really messed. I can only imagine how pissed Matt is right now. Let's hope the guy gets caught.

I hate to break it to you, but that's not called a back-up. That's called a fucking retarded server administrator who wants to lose everything.

EDIT: Okay, from the looks of the site they did have a backup of the database. The world is at peace again.

it was jenn! ahahaha

on a serious note... why did he remove the note? I would have never known it was hacked, except for the design change (but Matt does that all the time)

Judging from his post on 3 November here, it doesn't sound like the cowardly turd (or turds) who did this are going to be getting theirs too soon (but somewhere down the line they had better).

Matt brings up a great point about the lack of support from the major labels in regards to embracing new and emerging technologies to promote the talent on their rosters. No surprise, since their contracts often consider CDs to be 'new technology' (no matter what the head of EMI is saying these days).
