Calgary Folk Fest

So, I hope that everyone from calgary was at folk fest to see it live because it was amazing.

 

 

Now for my story, belive it or not.

 

I might have put that song into the play list because I talked to melissa mcelland the day before asking her if there would be any possiblity of them playing it on the main stage on sunday. If anyone else did the same sort of thing feel free to add your story... I want to know if it might have been a group effort

The wettest MG concert this city has ever seen:) But it was fabulous. I think Luke Doucet really added something to the performance with his electric.

A good friend of mine from Calgary was just telling me about Luke Doucet. She seemed very impressed.

Thanks for do that Bladeso. It was cool seeing all three of them together on stage.

 

Yeah, the weather was miserable. It was so cold and wet out there. We all had to stand up just to keep warm. Great concert though. I'm glad I went; it was well worth it.

Yes, he did. Very soulful. I've seen him play with Sarah McLachlan for years, and I'm glad he's managed to strike out on his own.

That was an amazing perfomance.

 

I had one of my favorite moments ever during Strange Days, with a girl who is now my ex-girlfriend, but one of the best friends I could ever have.

The other performers on the mainstage that day were pretty stellar, and Elliot Brood did a jam session with some other bands where there was a folk-rap song called "Get Down Airborn Bastards", written about allergies.

 

It was pretty hilarious.

No, you're not. She as a gorgeous, smokey quality to her vocals. She's very talented. We have a lot of great, distinctive pipes in this country (male and female).

I really liked her when she opened for MG during the acoustic tour, and was quite disappointed that I missed her at Folkfest, due to me only buying tickets for the Sunday.
