  1. YES! I've had this conversation with my buddy a dozen times, and he insists i'm wrong. I hear that every time
  2. One of the best MG concerts I've seen... And Luke Doucet really did add an awesome atmosphere with his electric. Am I the only one who think Mclelland is one of the best female vocalists in this whole damn country?
  3. Megamix is what got me into Matt Good. It was the little snippet where the guitar hook for My Life as a Circus Clown is mixed in. That led me to getting the song from my friend, then the album, then the rest of the albums and seeing him live 3 times in 2 months. I am now forever devoted to all that is Good (kind of odd... now I can't listen to Megamix without stopping it 3 minutes in...)
  4. I've had itunes on this laptop for just over a year: 1. Matt Good - Weapon (soundtrack) - 212 plays 2. Baraka Soundtrack - Wandering Saint - 167 plays 2. Thomas Newman - Six Feet Under Theme - 167 players 3. Thomas Newman - Bloodless Freak - 126 4. Baraka Soundtrack - Rainbow Voice - 125 5. Matt Good - Avalanche - 102
  5. See... with picaresque, I could only REALLY get into Mariners Revenge and 16 military wives (which is a badass song all around, and so effing catchy it hurts). The rest, as you mentioned in the OP, turned me off mostly due to his voice.
  6. For me, I have to say that they both come out tied for quality of lyric, song and atmosphere. I love so many songs from both, but for me the most comprehensive work for Matthew Good is Avalanche. Every song on that record speaks to me in ways other songs by him just fall a bit short of doing. I started listening to Matt during WLRR (I know, I know; newbie), but I fell in love with Avalanche. S'all subjective, really...
  7. I've always been partial to Nat King Cole's "L.O.V.E." Old, classy and just a phenomenal tune to hum ;).
  8. In no real order and right off the top of my head: - Symbolistic White Walls - Weapon (Both the Soundtrack and Album version) - Hello Timebomb - Buffalo Seven - Generation X-Wing - Pony Boy (There's so... SO many more <sniffs>)

Yes. A shitty, one use thing. That stupid Bladeso made me give back to the wanker who lost it >.<
  10. Though I love MG and U2, I also have to agree that the Beatles are the best band ever. Their music is consistently amazing, and I've been able to listen to the same songs by them over and over again for over 12 years; something no other musician/band can boast.
  11. Tim: Mind if I get that vid too? It's one of my top 3 favorite MG songs, and I didn't even KNOW there was a video o.o
  12. My personal favorite: "I don't believe we've ever put a guilty, er, innocent person to death in the state of Texas"
  13. Whenever I'm down or feeling sad, all I have to do is look at my Bush Quote's poster to smile ^.^
  14. My Real Friends - High Holy Days
  15. (The Dark Materials is by Philip Pullman. Blindingly good read.) Another fan-fugu-tastic series is called The Malazan Book of the Fallen. It's got a fantasy element to it, but the quality of the characters and writing is so incredible that I'd recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
  16. My shirt will have the "MGFC" logo on the front and the "Saveus" things on the sleeves. I love iron on transfers ^.^ And man, was he pissed at the Banff concert. Though I kinda feel honored to have been yelled at by MG himself, in a rather odd way.
  17. That... sounds like an INCREDIBLE setlist! The last <and unfortunately ONLY> time I saw him was at the Wild Bill's Saloon concert in Banff. You know... the one where his teeth got chipped because of drunk wankers. That set list was only 8 songs because of that, and no encore. Pissed me right off (though Hello Time Bomb was simply the best song I've ever experienced live, and we got the soundtrack version of Weapon ^.^). However, if I get to hear the Rat Who Would Be King and Carmelina live, I'd consider it some of the best money I've ever spent. **Edit** My friend (Bladeso) and I are both going to the Oct. 15th concert, and have bounced around the idea of buying a voice recorder for his IPod. Anyone know how well they work and if it'd do well in a crowded concert hall? Of course, the live versions would be uploaded for all to hear ^.^
  18. Where the Streets have no Name - U2 Weapon - Matt Good Jealous of Your Cigarette - Hawksley Workman
  19. ^ Smoke on the Water is by Deep Purple, mate ;). The Egg and I - Cowboy Bebop
  20. I had to say Simple Man just because they're slightly whinier than Good Charlotte, though not by much. Nickleback, on the other hand, was very very good before their music was ridiculously overplayed (every 3 minutes? Please). The Curb and The State are both very good albums that I still enjoy to this day.
  21. Another Beatles fan? Huzzah! The song isn't TECHNICALLY the Beatles, but Lennon was a god of a songwriter. The song is called "Love", and was recorded after the Beatles broke up. Here's the actual words John Lennon - Love Love is real, real is love Love is feeling, feeling love Love is wanting to be loved Love is touch, touch is love Love is reaching, reaching love Love is asking to be loved Love is you You and me Love is knowing We can be Love is free, free is love Love is living, living love Love is needing to be loved
