Do you love it because it sounds good accoustic or because it's drastically changed from the original?

 

I really enjoy the new take on Generation X-Wing myself. My boyfriend likes the new North American For Life because he thinks the music suits the lyrics better.

Tripoli, i think it sounds a lot better as an acoustic song. Although i love the original too. Truffle pigs is good too, the only one i dislike is Hello Time Bomb.

 

In generation X-wing i love how he sings this verse:

I read my horoscope but I just can't pull it off alone

GenX-Wing hurts... gives me a chill. When he says "I read my horoscope but I just can't pull it off alone" he sounds so alone, and makes me feel that way too. I like when a song can do that.

 

Advertising, Tripoli & Truffle Pigs are good too.

I couldn't agree more. I love the way he executes that song accoustically. It seems so emotionaly charged and it actually made me appreciate the original version more in some way.

 

X-wing I mean.

I love the acoustic version of North American For Life. The original is great and fast, but I think the slower pace of the acoustic version makes it more powerful.

North American For Life is my very favourite, but Generation X Wing and Tripoli are close at second.

It's kind of hard to pick favourite songs in general for me because I prefer different ones depending on my mood.

Tripoli and Truffle Pigs blew me away personally. I listened to those on repeat endlessly it seemed, when I first heard them.

 

I do agree though, Gen X is amazing acoustically, it does seem to fit a bit better.

The first time I heard Tripoli (as in a few minutes after I bought IAC) I practically shook. It was just...well, the song has a lot of significance for me, and really hits home. I think both are very different, powerful in different ways, and just...insane.

I am in the minority and voted for Strange Days. It just stirs me, I cannot quite explain it. I would vote #2 Prime Time Deliverance and #3 Apparitions.

I voted for Generation X-wing, although Tripoli is amazing too. I get shivers everytime he sings "fuckin me in the shower" for the last verse. Still seems so unexpected and brutal in some way, yet also honest.
