Matthew Good Band Documentary

How sweet would it be if someone made a documentary on the Matthew Good Band?

 

 

You know, fill it with interviews with all the former members and have clips from the bands history. live shows and interviews.

 

I ask this because I just recently watched Dig! for, like the 10th time, and I can only think when I watch that documentary how interesting one on MGB would be.

 

 

 

(and i know the topic title has a lot of people raising their hopes, and for that i apologize)

see, i have seen the specials on the band that much played a long ass time ago, and i just thought it was so interesting seeing how the band acts off stage.

ya i have that episode of "the story of..." it was pretty cool, ive gotta find that again. they also had a much spotlight on mgb, i have that one on tape somewhere aswell. a nice dvd package would be sweet though.

I guess maybe it would be okay... MGB doesn't strike me as one of those bands with that exciting of a history, especially considering they weren't together that long.

Is there a way some of the more prolific MGB collectors could pool all their stuff and make it into a charity DVD? Just like that History Teacher cd set that's floating around? Good causes are good causes...

It just came to me... that I thought Matt mentioned something about kyle Davidson filming a documentary, cant remember if it was WLRRR or In a coma?

WLRRR, but it never happened. His lable didn't want to invest in that i guess. It would have been damn cool, Matt had a lot of idea's for that dvd at the time. at one point i remember him saying he was going to try to get dave and ian to talk about the band and the breakup.

 

Somewhere though there is all that footage from the studio sessions sitting arround. It would be sweet if matt uploaded some of that on his myspace or something.

see, thats exactly what I would want a Matthew Good (Band) documentary to be made up of.

Should we infer from that DVD cover that the original title for WLR&RR was going to be "Put Out Your Lights"? I just can't imagine a very interesting documentary about a 2-minute song.

yeah, a good dvd. live shows, behind the scenes, touring. you know there's footage out there that he's got or knows about people having. would be a pretty cool idea, something for the fans over the years... a live show would be my favourite thing on dvd for sure.

remember there's that VH1 song that tried to reunite bands and would capture the process live on camera. I remember seeing them trying to reunite the New Kids on the Block for a performance. Didn't happen. It'd be a lil' harder seeing that Matt will be out of the country and do you consider asking Geoff, or Christian for guitar duties?
