As it stands, I'm really not sure. But I remember line line from some romantic period opera... possibly a Wagner opera.

 

"Guten aben mein schnab

Guten aben mein kind.

So kalt is der nacht

So eisig der wind"

 

Etc etc etc...

 

And no I'm not an opera fan, I study this stuff in school. Hooray performing arts schools!

 

is me knowing this attractive?

EDIT: to answer your question, Meg, I'm thinking that "mein schnab" could mean "my boy", or "my dear"... i'm really not certain about it, though. it's been a while since i touched the stuff.

 

now that i think about it, it wasn't even from an opera. it was from a german art song, a "lied", and so it definitely wasn't wagner. probably brahms... or the other guy who wrote tons and tons of lieder.

Just like most fetishes. And german is a hideous language. My girlfriend is german, and she told me how to say 'I love you' in it. It's pretty damn scary. And long.

 

That spray paint job was hilarious, but I woulda taken it farther. Shoulda given him devil horns, some antennae, a cigarette in his mouth, ugly-ass glasses etc etc.

You realise that immature stunts like drawing swastikas on campaign signs (a) reflects badly on those who can intelligently criticize the Conservatives, and probably helps take possible supporters away from your side, and (b) is deeply insulting to people who actually suffered under real Nazis. My two cents.

you raise some good points, BUT, i'm sure stephen harper would like to see the queer kids in consentration camps.
