This movie is completely on Sean Penn's shoulder's. Without his great acting talents this movie would'nt be as dark and depressing. I just kept asking myself why the character kept living with all the shit happenning to him. He is just so naive and believes a bright future is possible till he litterally explode.

He was so amazing in this movie. I can count on my fingers the number of times I've seen such focused and intense acting. The movie itself was okay, but Sean Penn was breathtaking.
