Yorkfest Show Now Available For Download!

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

hey people...just thought I would let everyone know that I've finally gotten around to seeding my recording of the Yorkfest show. A lot of time and effort has gone into doing this, so I hope you enjoy.

You need BitTorrent to download it (just google "BitTorrent" if you don't know what that is)...

you can find the show here: http://www.easytree.org/torrents-details.php?id=11659

cool man...let me know what you think of the show...i think the sound quality is pretty good myself (sounded better on the MD than it does now)...

its sounds really awesome-- good job and i hope you do more in the future

was it an outdoor concert????

--

what kind of minidisk do u have-- i got a MZ-n707

i found that turning down the bass levels before recording makes a big difference--

yes, it was an outdoor concert (if you listen really closely when Matt talks, you can hear TTC buses driving by)...and i actually don't own an MD player, my school aloows me to take them out for projects and such so I figured i'd just use their MD players for taping shows...i'm not sure the model number, but i can check next time i take one out...and i'll keep the bass levels in mind next time (although, the ones the schools has automatically reduce the bass if it gets to loud)...thus why you can actually hear the high end of this show ;)

Are you talking about the mic levels, or is there another level adjustment that I need to be aware of?

How do you record the shows? do you just put a mic up to a PA monitor and a have a high pass filter on them?

well...for this particular show, i just put a blank md into the player, leaned against the soundboard, held an external mic in my hand for about an hour and pressed "record"...that was it

at "estimated time left", it says connecting to peers. and it does that for a while. then eventually, there is a window error that says "Problem connecting to tracker - <urlopen error (10060, 'Operation timed out')>"

Probably too many people trying to download it ;)

That's not how Torrent works.

It's actually the opposite...not enough people leaving it open after they download it.

thanks for the show! i'm in the process of dl it now, and i'm really excited about it! anymore shows available from this tour?

also, anyone know an easy way of indexing this concert (into different tracks i mean)

hey guys...just noticed there are no seeds...i'll open up my window for you guys...but be patient cause i'm on limited bandwidth right now...

ok, i had to upload the torrent again cause the tracker wasn't letting me seed for some reason...you can find it here now:

this is not working for me. i left in on all night, but no progress was made. it's stalled at 44%. must i start again? or will this one pick up and continue? can i access the 44% i have, now?

Posted

you can use the 44% you already have by opening the torrent again and saving the target to the same place.

i cannot get any seeds for this.

maybe someone can help me out. i've spent over 30hours downloading the show, and got it all. but now i can't seem to play it! i just tried clicking on it in the folder i downloaded it into, similar to what i would have done if i had downloaded an mp3. but it says it can't be opened that way. can someon give a step by step on how toplay it now. that would suck if i spent 30 hours trying to get it and couldn't play it!
