haha, funny post. it's funny what we hear in a song sometimes. the worst is when you sing the wrong lyrics in front of ppl.

I always thought it was "I've got a machine that only takes quarters, you ain't so tough, you ain't so tough."

Whaaaaat....even though I know he's saying "can't tackle, can't shoot", it still doesn't sound like it. On the last word is sounds like "she" not shoot. It still sounds like "caw taco caw she", which is retarded, because I'll never get it!

Edit: Oh, and on Man of Action what does he say after "this world it wore him out (says something right here), this world, it wears you out"

To me it sounds like "this world it wore him out, apart"

It's Eh Pa, in reference to the father he talks about in the rest of the song.

Yeah the Avalanche thing is honestly impossible to understand. I don't think they're actually words. The Hot Meatloaf thing in HTB is hilarious, but it really doesn't sound like it.

For Advertising on Police Cars, I always heard it like:

"Hey Mr Chips, how's the wife and all the kids? Still poison? Do you still eat them?" Which still makes sense, but I guess the actual version makes more, which is:

"Hey Mr Chips, how's the wife, and are the kids still poison? Do you still eat them?"

Still, I like my version better. Seems cooler. Also, does anyone know what the first line is to the extended version of symbolistic white walls? It goes:

Something something your nights and days

You close em up and float away

and somehow in between you gotta master lying to yourself

Your master (bathroom?) calls, get out of school

You get a job, a job gets you

And somehow everyday you end up serving somebody else

Well then it kinda gets your feelin well (?) you damn well better start

You can drive it into that head of your with the hammer in your heart.

There are a couple parts in there that I don't get. Anybody know what he's saying?

The skies dazzle me.

Disguised as a bee.

lol.

My gf's mistake was pretty funny. Instead on "One foot in front of the other, and one foot back to counter it"

She thought it was "... one foot back to Canada." he he

Whoa! I always heard "the skies dazzled me" too! And frankly I like it 1000 times more. The disguised as a bee line is the only 'bad' one in that song. It kinda ruons it for me. But 'the skies dazzled me'? brilliant.

Also, does anyone know what the first line is to the extended version of symbolistic white walls?

Open your eyes: the nights and days.

You close them up and float away

And somehow in between you gotta master lying to yourself

You back the cause. Get out of school

You get a job. The job gets you.

And somehow every day you end up serving somebody else.

If that ain't panic that you're feeling, well you damn well better start

You can drive it into that head of yours with that hammer in your heart
