I kinda hope it's not TOO long. I like long songs as much as the next guy, and I like long albums too (think Dream Theater and Smashing Pumpkins), but thinking about how much I like shorter 10 song albums like Viva La Vida and In Rainbows I've kinda found an appreciation for that kind of presentation.

But whatever, I love Hospital Music and that's fairly long so I'll probably like this new album no matter how long it is.

I hope there are some differences coming in the studio versions from what we heard in the demos. Clearly some of the tracks appear set to be longer than their demos.

I do hope there are going to be at least a couple we haven't heard. You know? Like sure we can look forward to more polished versions of these, but we already know about them.

Well as Matt said in his blog, there will be at least two more tracks, as all the songs we've heard are listed it's guarunteed we're going to hear something new. Also Matt said he could probably do eight more (though it was said not to be taken literaly) , so there's another could possibility we'll here atleast a few tracks we havn't heard.

What I think would be awesome is if this CD is released on April 6th, Vancouver's birthday. Than for the album cover have Matt replace the guys on the coat of arms.

I really want to hear the lyrics he wrote for The Boy Who Could Explode and Us Remains Impossible, and I want to know what he's actually saying in Empty's Theme Park so I can see how close I am.

Welp, gonna have to wait a while.

All I know is if he ends up streaming finished tracks before the album comes out again, or if he streams the album before I can buy the CD, I'm not gonna listen to em. I want to have the experience of having it come in the mail and popping it in to hear it for the first time then. I realize now that would have made Hospital Music 10x more awesome.

The track list looks really solid. I've only heard a few of the demos, mostly live, and they sounds great.

I'm interested and excited in seeing what the end result will be.

He is a tease putting it up this early though.

I've only heard a couple of demo tracks for this CD, but I'm always up for some new MG material. I'm also interested in hearing what, if any, production changes have on the album with it being an independent release compared to his previous label releases.

I hope this isn't going to be an iTunes only release.

agreed. if that happened then i wouldn't be very surprised if he rerecorded beautiful midnight acoustically and sold the CD only in starbucks.

i think the likelihood of him selling the album only on itunes is slim, as we're slowly learning from bands like NIN and radiohead that any idiot with a paypal and knowledge of torrents can sell their album online. while he certainly does rock the charts on itunes, i don't (and hope) he won't limit himself to that audience alone.

i don't have itunes and don't really want to get it. especially not if my ISP continues to favour bandwidth throttling/tiered broadband.
