God, I know. And she used to be such a hardcore Matt Good fan and now she's all "What is this about him wanting a refund from Yves Laurent?" She doesn't even know what's happened with him.

 

Also, I'm so glad it wasn't MY car that got the window smashed. The car behind us did. What kind of moron leaves their jacket in plain view on the seat anyways, especially in Detroit.

I don't know why he'd want a refund from a designer store either, but I'm sure I could get it in context if he were discussing it in one of his little anecdotes. Maybe something to do with his ex-wife... *shrug*

 

People steal jackets out of cars in Detroit!? Oh my.

I don't know why they would leave it in there, not because of the fear of stealing, but because it's cold - you're gonna need that jacket when you come out of the show!

Poor guy can't catch a break, can he?

 

It sure doesn't sound like a simple case of food poisoning to me. He probably should just pack it up and go home and re-schedule. Of course, that's easy for me to say, I already got to see him on this tour, but reading his last blog entry was almost painful.

I am really sorry to hear about the show in Rochester being canceled, but it works out since I finally sold my ticket to the show a few weeks back.

I am getting worried that I'll wake up on Monday and find out that the Tuesday show will be cancelled.

 

Hopefully he gets better. It already sucks that so many shows were cancelled...bah.

I had the flu when I was in 7th grade. It was the most sick I have ever been, bar none. I remember it hit me all of a sudden as I was watching some Nickelodeon on a Sunday afternoon. All of a sudden I got very cold and I couldn't move. I didn't even have the energy to make it halfway up the stairs. I was immobilized, had a fever, a cold, vomited constantly, lost my sense of taste and could barely fucking walk for over a week. Other nasty stuff happened as well.

 

I missed a lot of school, but man I'd rather have gone. I was so fucking sick it was ridiculous. The flu is no joke!

I've never had the flu, but this one time I was so sick that I couldn't control my bowel movements. I don't want this thread to turn into crazy sick stories, but I just hope it doesn't come to that for Matt!

There's been a really nasty flu going around SoCal... Most everyone I know has got it, and one of my moms friends died from complications from it... I just hope he takes care of himself ;)

Okay, education time. The 'flu' has nothing at all to do with the stomach. The flu is caused by a virus called the INFLUENZA virus. The symptoms are aches and pains, high fever, unstoppable dry hacky cough and being so exhausted that you can't get out of bed. Since it is a virus, antibiotics do nothing since antibiotics fight bacteria.

 

There is no such thing as a 'stomach flu'. The correct name for that kina of shit (no pun) would be gastroenteritis. Let's all learn, people.

INFLUENZA IS NOT A STOMACH PROBLEM!!! Yes, you might feel shitty because of the flu and end up throwing up or something but unless you have the other flu symptoms I have listed above, you do not have 'the flu.'

I tried but my login doesn't work. I don't think I know my password and I asked for it and it didn't work.

 

Being in the healthcare field, I just get so annoyed with how people throw the word 'flu' around when pretty much the entire population is ignorant to what it actually is. Laypeople pretty much just say flu whenever they don't feel good.

 

People always come in the pharmacy, say they have the flu and then ask for help. Then, when I question what the symptoms are (So I can help them) it's not even the flu. I compare this to people calling IT support, saying "yeah, I'm having a problem with my software" and then proceeding to say that what is wrong is that their monitor won't turn on. That would be hardware, completely different than software. Hope that analogy made sense, because I do plead ignorance with computers.

So I guess he played the show in Boston tonight. My friend must be pleased.

I have the same problem with my login..

 

But yeah, thanks for getting out the word. My family recently had the actual flu and my mom had to shoot that tamiflu stuff up in my 2 year old sister's mouth. NASTY.

 

And it was a good analogy.

I loved the comment from the guy who insisted that Matt needed a strong dose of amoxicillin for his (probable) viral gastroenteritis.

 

It's kind of weird how many people offer him medical and psychiatric advice on his blog. I guess everyone can be an expert on the internet.
