  1. Fucking Americans.
  2. Apparently Cheese Whiz and plastic only differ by a few atoms in molecular composition.
  3. Fries and ice cream are good. If you go to Wendey's, you can dip fries in frosty and it's quite tasty.
  4. Oh man, if you ever want a quick/healthy snack, get some whole wheat crackers (I like Breton, cuz they're big), put peanut butter on them, then a piece of cheese (this sounds gross, but trust me, it's amazing) and finally an apple slice. Make a bunch of those up and you'll be good to go. You can leave the cheese off if you're a pansy, but trust me, it's delicious. Cheddar isn't the best to use, but it works in a pinch. I reccomend whatever kind of cheese those Babybell things are made of.
  5. I'm a big fan of Danny Carey because of his very eclectic time signatures. Playing along to Tool or APC is very difficult because of his style, but yes, he is quite amazing. I'm gonna be doing some drum recordings in the semi-near future, so I'll be sure to post em so you can see if I'm any good. Edit: I'm also planning to groove to a few songs in addition to doing random solos, so if anyone has any requests of semi-well known songs, let me know. I'm already planning to do Haven't Slept in Years.
  6. Who's your favourite drummer Christine? I'm a big fan of Thomas Lang, Neil Peart (obviously) and a few others. I also personally feel that Virgil Donati is horribly over rated. Edit: How could I forget John Bonham?
  7. My sister eats peanut butter and salami sandwhiches. I mix cereals together all the time, and add peanut butter and/or jelly to pretty much everything, like oatmeal, cereal, ice cream, etc. Ice cream with peanut butter is fucking amazing by the way; I suggest everyone try it. Also, one day when a few friends were over, we were all hungry, and we took ice cream, smarties, peanut butter, chips ahoy, and crumbled pop tart and put it all into a bowl. SO good.
  8. Sunday is gloomy, my hours are slumberless Dearest, the shadows I live with are numberless
  9. Oh man, that cat at about 36 seconds is friggin hilarious. These may not appeal to people who aren't into drums, but these are some sweet clips: Tony Royster Junior, at 12 years old, kicking serious ass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeqdyOjJCcc Him a little more grown up, grooving to a song: Thomas Lang, Badass Drummer. Watch this! His stick tricks are retarded: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jHSuBM3wuE&NR Another Thomas Lang: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D49rKd0-_NI...related&search= Matt Good doing Tripoli. This one is amazing. If someone knows how I could just get the audio of this to put on my iPod, I'd be super grateful:
  10. This is sort of an old topic, but holy shit, I LOVE THIS CD. Pretty much every song is great. Ironically, Our Hell (and Winning) is pretty much the only one I'm not really into. Fucking amazing. I've been listening to it non stop for about 4 or 5 days.
  11. 1) What's TDK? 2) I saw this again last night and it made SO much more sense and I appreciated it a lot more. Once you know the 'secret', it seems so obvious, and they drop a lot of obvious hints at you throughout the movie, but I guess you don't pick up on it unless you already know it. Very cool. Oh, and also, that plot element has been officially 'wrapped up': SPOILER (Highlight to View) It was definitely just a brother. When Borden writes 'Tesla' as the keyword to unlock his journal, it's a decoy, and tesla himself tells Jackman that the machine he made for Borden didn't do what Jackman was looking for. They were using him for his money, but then it did end up working as a clone machine. Also, there's a big clue right at the beginning of the film, when they watch the Chinese guy do the fish trick, and Borden talks about how he 'lives his act' or something like that, and alters his entire life just to do that one trick.
  12. I haven't watched any of those, but it's spelled 'loser.' Sorry to be a douche, it just bugged me.
  13. Upon further listening, I've decided that You Won't Know is my favourite song on it.
  14. you could probably get additional fingers and toes sewn on for a price. haha...me so funny. It'd suck if they costed an arm and a leg though.
  15. I'm gnna have SO many of these... I'll start with this one. BNL - Home: Stuck in the middle of the road for better or worse we'd compromise You may have won my hand, dear But it was the consolation prize
  16. Swordchucks are indeed awesome. But everytime I try to use them I cut my hands off. Man I haven't read 8 bit theatre in forvever...
  17. Hey, don't try to change the subject. Trying to shift gears cuz your scurvy dogs are getting owned by my awesome assassins?
  18. You probably clicked "view results (null vote)" instead of "vote." I hate when I do that. That's what happens when you live the life of a pirate folks. Your vote should be clear.
  19. I don't see your vote Christine. ;) Ninja edit: the only reason you like pirates is cuz you're PEG LEG MEG!
  20. Adam and Evan's nominations are both amazing. I'll just nominate any one of my orignal posts from the drunk as fuck thread.
  21. That's almost as cool as a ninja. But not quite. Sort of reminds me of a pirate.
  22. And here we are.
  23. Immortality. I had to answer some question for a psych assignment today, and I thought the answer I came too was quite interesting. I don't know if anyone's going to read this or find it useful in any way, but here's some food for thought, I suppose: The question was "Philosophers and psychologists (e.g., Maslow) have proposed various ultimate goals. What would be your candidate for the ultimate goal that everybody tries to fulfill and that is more important than any other goal?" My answer: I think that the ultimate goal for any human being is immortality. Though we are aware that we are mortal and that we will die, I think that it is often difficult to fully internalize and accept this fact. Since we cannot literally live forever, I think most people strive to achieve a type of
