Nice dude. Kind of makes me think this is what Strange Days would have sounded like had Ryan Dahle been part of Matt's writing team before Matt formed MGB, lol (the violin reminds me a bit of Alarm Bells). Was it just three people doing this live, or more?
-
Not to sound condescending Champion of Nothing because I'm glad you decided to think this project up, but I'm gonna have to agree with URH on pretty much everything especially about the demos. I can't see Matt appreciating that at all. And I would say we make the deadline somewhat later than June 15. Some songs can be finished faster than others but it just depends on what one you're doing. By setting a deadline in a month and a half I think we'd kind of be discouraging those who might want to do full band tracks instead of just acoustic ones considering that layering 3 to 4 instruments and getting the sounds mixed properly isn't the easiest thing to accomplish especially if you're working full time. Just my two cents.

It's your project idea so whatever, but do you mind me asking why we're not aiming for a number that might be a little bit easier to achieve? There are lots of cds out there with only ten tracks anyways and I think it would be too bad if this was put on the back burner again just because we didn't get 18 tracks.
-
I'd be interested. I know a few people finished some tracks the last time we tried this in the summer of 06 so there's already a few tracks floating around out there that could be added again.
-
Anyone still watch it?
-
Ditto. Good songs but played to death. I'm hoping for some of the demo's (the boy who could explode, us remains impossible and on nights like tonight)

cool. thanks for posting.

Hey, was just wondering if anyone could help me find a copy of the pod casts Jeremy Taggart did with Matt at the end of this past August. I checked on the Edge, Taggart's myspace page, googled it and checked on here but still didn't have much luck. If anyone has a copy or a link to send my way I would be rather grateful. Cheers.

Yeah, that made my day. Thanks a lot.

You know, with most of his covers or solo acoustic songs I would ussually agree with you, but in my personal opinion this is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard.
-
Geoff, any luck loading the MM preformance yet?
-
I do, just PM me if you want and I'll add you to my msn contacts. And as far as Genn is concerned I'm pretty sure Dobson said in his blog at one point before he erased it (like he does to most of the stuff he writes) that Genn would not be attending.

Where the hell he is getting all this helium from?

Wow, nice job man; I enjoyed that. I'm not sure if it was just the recording equipment you were useing but I like the airiness in the song and the odd echo on the guitar where the chord changes occur at certain points. If could suggest one thing though it would be to go back and adjust the volume on your vocals seeing as there are certain points where it's difficult of hard to hear what's being said.

Haha, I'm with what Prosis just said. I'm still working on the end of Giant but I'm not going to rush it. When it's done it's going to be done well in the sense that I'm pleased with both sound quality and intent. If I rush it I'll have neither.

I posted this in the Angels and Airwaves discussion but I figured I'd give it its own thread. +44 Hate it, like it, love it, discuss. Edit: link has been fixed. (Thanks Ryan)

The last Blink album is problably one of my favorite albums ever; Stockholm Syndrome was incredible. When you can see bands mature the way Blink did it's always a treat. As far as A and A goes the first single was great and then the rest of the album was kind of meh. I think Mark Hoppus said it best when he was asked what he thought: -

Does anyone know what show this was at?

Nice, I'm suprised the sound quality came out how it did considering your distance from the stage. Thanks for posting. Does anyone know the setlist for that night?

Given his current project I'd really beg to differ on that. -

ditto that. *hugs* What they said. I think I speak for everyone on the board when I say it's nice to have someone with a personality like yours on the board. Although I don't personally know you, the fact that you can keep yourself level headed and cool while discussing a subject as close to you as this I think speaks volumes about your character. Hope you and those close to you come out ok through this.
