  1. EDIT: I didn't realize thi spost was from 2004 whne I posted it. Oh well. From the 2004 tour version of Big City Life, this is what I've always heard: Caught your eye you are my streetlight, Throw off your blues and use your red and whites, And wave to caution your days and nights, And you're wandering, wandering, wandering, Carolina was a gambler, So she came into the city, And there she died when she was 21, 'Cause big city life is fun, Caught your eye you are my ???, Throw off your blues and use your red and whites, And wave to caution your days and nights, And been wandering, wandering, wandering, Carolina was a gambler, So she came into the city, And there she died when she was 21, 'Cause big city life is fun, 'Cause big city life is fun, Carolina was a gambler, So she came into the city, And there she died when she was 21, 'Cause big city life is fun, 'Cause big city life is fun, 'Cause big city life is fun. I forget, are these lyrics in the In A Coma booklet, I'm at work and my copy is at home. I think ??? is bellatina. Thanks, Dan
  2. Openers - The Ladies And The Gentlemen - TO band - Matt has a link to their website on his website. I would say the show will end around 9 or 10 Cameras are determined by the venue, I'm bringing mine (hidden in my back pocket just in case). But Matt doesn't care, the venue determines the rules. Dan
  3. Is this in chronological order? I think I should really be Dan #5 or something since I've been here a while ;)
  4. OK, well if there is a line formed when I get there, I'll just start from the front and ask if anyone's from the Bored, then hopefully jump in line with them. And if there's no bored members in line. Then I'll start the "Bored" section of line and you guys can feel free to bud. We can pretend we're best friends and start calling each other randam names like Tom, Dick & Jane. Anyways, I'll be in line somewhere with my girlfriend. I'll be wearing a dark blue & teal Windriver coat with a grey Maple Leafs sweater (since they're playing that night) and my girlfriend is about 4 inches shorter than me. And my name is Dan. See you guys in line. D-Bal
  5. 1) Every Name is My Name 2) Lullaby For The New World Order 3) Oh Be Joyful (Chainsaw ;) ) 4)Symbolistic White Walls 5) Future is X-Rated (Beautiful Midnight) 6) Invasion 1 (tough call though, but I like the lyrics in this better) 7)Jenni
  6. Hey peeps, First, for all those in the GTA that have Messenger, feel free to add me ([email protected]) and let me know you're in the GTA. I'm from the 'shwa myself. Second, for those going to the concert on the 15th. Who wants to get together in line and own the front row. Hopefully we can get enough people together and prevent any stupid moshers from wrecking another show. I'm thinking about getting in line around 2 or 3pm (I have to wait for my girlfriend to get off work to go). Let me know. Dan
  7. I bought it from the NF store 2 weeks ago and the songs were cut out. What a rip...j/k. But ya, hopefully these will have the songs. Thanks, Dan
  8. Agreed. 1.Strange Days 2.Running For Home 3.She's Got A New Disguise (Chainsaw) 4.Look Happy, It's The End Of The World 5.Pledge of Allegiance (duh) 6.Let's Get It On (too easy) 7.Haven't Slept In Years (Raygun) 8.Giant (first tough choice in this group) 9.Heather's Like Sunday (tough choice) First, what does "Chainsaw" mean (see quote)? Second, I always thought this was some kind of insider thing, so I never looked at the posts. Not sure if I'm gonna make the cutoff (11:24pm EST) but here goes: 1) Strange Days vs Strange Days (Rooms) 2) Buffalo Seven vs Running For Home 3)She
  9. Thanks XRTP. You keep answering all my questions, maybe I'll just PM you from now on...j/k. I never looked up the lyrics, and all I ever heard was KCKSS. It wasn't 'til my second concert that I decided to figure out exactly what the crowd was cheering. Thanks, Dan
  10. You guys probably already know this, but in the rare case you don't... It was a female fan, Lexy, who did it for the fun of it. She claimed she wasn't a stalker and she has her own blog where she posted pics. I don't remember the address tho, but check matt & jen's blogs for comments around that time. That's how I came across Lexy's blog. Thanks, Dan
  11. Thanks. Of all the days to finally have the time to come back on here and look what I find.
  12. I take offense to that ;) ...Hedley is awesome...and they're gonna be huge. But that's my opinion...Where did you see Hedley open for Matt? Thanks, Dan
  13. Ya we need a "sticky" post or something obvious for setlists. I'm still looking for the setlist from Le Skratch (Oshawa, ON) from Sept 16, 2004...It's not listed on Disorientation. If anyone knows, please let me know. I know X Rated Truffle Pig helped me out with the Durham College setlist. Thanks again XRTP. Thanks, Dan
  14. I haven't looked at this in awhile and the link is down, do one of you peeps want to summarize for me? Thanks, Dan
  15. There's a bunch of versions with different 'filler'. Some are recordings of other people, events, etc... My favorite is one where Matt does his own commentary in between the choruses. It's pretty sweet. I found a bunch of different versions on kazza & bearshare, so it shouldn't be too hard. Just keep in mind a lot of the live recordings the sound really sucks. Dan
  16. Hi Everyone, I'm just gathering up the setlists for the concerts I've been to. The only ones I can't find anywhere (searched internet, all posts on MG boards & Disorientation) are for the Oshawa, Ontario shows in '03 & '04: Avalanche Tour - Durham College - Fall 2003 "Bar" Tour - Le Skratch - September 16, 2004 If anyone knows the setlists or know of any other sites, please let me know. Also, for those that use the MG HUB. Can you check to see if either concert is available in any format or a setlist? Please let me know if you can help. Thanks, Dan ([email protected])
  17. No...Dave Genn will not be touring with the band (I don't think anyways). And yes you are correct, they have been trying to break out for 3 years (when they formed). But they played at the big Toronto audition thingy in March and got signed on by Universal. Their album is out Sept 6 and yes, they do kick ass.
  18. Dave Genn just popped up on a new indie band that's breaking out an album Sept 6. Hedley is a Vancouver based band that is now touring. Dave Genn just popped up as a guest playing guitar on "Gunnin" for their album. "So when we recorded the song "Gunnin", We emptied Garths living room and set up a bunch of baffles, and basically turned it into a make shift studio. Since his house actually has a studio built into it, you may ask why would we bother doing that? Well, the answer is..... vibe. In order to get it sounding the way we wanted, we had to have four acoustics guitars, a shaker, and of course Jakes singing, and that feeling of all actually playing it together. Our producer Garth sat in another room, just off the kitchen, and played the shaker to keep us all in time. Tom played bass, and then Dave Genn,(you'll remember from Matt Goods band) Ben Kaplan,(our pro-tools engineer @ more), Dave Rosin, and myself played the guitar parts. All of them a little different to give it depth." - Chris Crippin (Drummer for Hedley) http://www.hedleyforum.com/viewtopic.php?p...ghlight=#313747
  19. Matt Good has been the soundtrack to my life for 6 years now. I also wish I got into him earlier than that. My first experience was "Beautiful Midnight" and it grew from there. My first concert was Edgefest '00 in Barrie and then not until the Avalanche tour in 2003 @ Durham College in the Shwa. Then I did 3 concerts in 2004. I wish I went to more of his concerts. He is my favorite because I love his voice, songwriting and views. He has a great sense of humour and he is not in it for the money, he's in it for the music (which is rare these days). As long as he keeps making music, I'll keep buying and going to concerts (I just wish he'd add some more, cause I'm in Edmonton from the 13-19). Thanks, Dan
  20. Before 2:44 is the intro, Hello Time Bomb, and part of the interview with MG talking. Are the lyrics I posted part of an alternate version of HTB?
  21. Hi Everyone, Just thought I would compile a list of what concerts I've been to: MGB - 2000 - Edgefest, Barrie, ON MG - 2003 - Durham College, Oshawa, ON MG - 2004 - Mod Club, Toronto, ON MG - 2004 - Le Skratch, Oshawa, ON MG - 2004 - Kool Haus, Toronto, ON If anyone in the GTA wants to meet at the next concert near TO, send me an email or add me to your Messenger [email protected] Peace out, Dan
  22. Hi Everyone, I noticed in the Much More Music Bio, 1st part 2:44 in, Matt is singing a song in concert, June 1996. It's an upbeat song and the lyrics go something like this: I think about it all the time And as a rule You are what you eat And not what you preach Anyone know what song this is. I can't recognize it and I have alot of his stuff.
  23. For me it goes: Family Guy South Park Futurama Simpsons The last I heard of the Family Guy movie is that it will be direct-to-DVD in the fall. FOX has it signed on for 13 eps starting May 1. Seth MacFarlane is making 35 episodes regardless and if FOX cancels it again, then Cartoon Network & TBS are going to air all the episodes...and of course, it will be released on DVD soon after. I read that due to the sales of the first 2 volumes, it would be worth their time to just keep making episodes and release them on DVD and skipping the network process altogether if it comes to that. So cheers to the FG fans. The simpsons are lame, I only watch cuz my GF likes them still.
