'Tis indeed.

Yeah, I ended up seeing it... exceeded expectations. And the guy who played the youngest brother was really good.
-
I saw it... it was good, but it didn't really click too well with me. I think it was trying to be indie and mainstream at the same time and couldn't quite pull it off.

I love Jason Lee, but something tells me that even with his amount of charm, he won't be able to keep this show afloat. -
Hell yes! There's plenty of it here in LA, but the south is still unbelievably prejudiced.
-
Yet another reason I hate being American... I have to listen to you all drool about new stuff while I wait by my mail box day after day...
-
Have you ever been to LA? Because, I can promise that this film is pretty close to how things are here...
-
Yeah, Coppolas' his uncle... no (know) relation to Brando...
-
I woudn't have thought it possible that after this past summer of shit movies, one film could make me remember why I love going to the cinema... but Lord of War has. WOW!
-
not only should we dislike National Treasure because it's bad... but more so because it took them $100 million to make that bad a movie... and even more so that it grossed $175 million in the states...
-
I'm going to see it tomorrow...
-
Really? That's fantastic... very few people are ever even willing to watch a silent film... let alone enjoy it...

Cheers, crazycanuck ;). EDIT: I tried for the lyrics: Caught your eye You are my streetlight Throw off your blues and use Your red and whites Amber waves to caution Your days and nights Been wandering, been wandering, been wandering Carolina was a gambler So she came into the city Where she died when she was 21 Cause big city life is fun Yeah, big city life is fun Cut your heart out You are my starlight Tear down the blues and fly your red and whites I

Am too happy for words... I'm going to be flying from Los Angeles to Buffalo (again) to see him. I pray he won't cancel the NY show like he did last time... stupid non-refundable plane tickets... I just got my tax return (which I was going to use to fix my car, but I'd rather see the show and just keep walking for a while), so that should cover the airfare... and I'm splitting the hotel with my sister, so I might actually be able to do this without going completely broke...

Well, that is the point... you have to compare it to the original cut versions... -
Where'd you get that?

Blockbuster Going Under?
S.E. Hardy replied to bettafish1776's topic in Rentals, Television, and Readables
Yeah. It's owned by very conservative right wing types that require studios to make an edit of every film that meets their guidelines. If the studio won't, Blockbuster won't carry the movie. Most of the time, the director has no say in this type of content edit. It sucks. I've heard of Wal-Mart doing that, but never actually reported, just people saying it. And, seeing as I don't shop there, I've never done a comparison. -
clicky. It's the song from the Everything Is Illuminated trailer.

I've been thinking about getting it when I've a bit more cash... -
Beware the extra-less DVD of Sin City - wait for the Special Edition...
-
Trailer.. This looks like it might be nearly as good as the novella.

Blockbuster Going Under?
S.E. Hardy replied to bettafish1776's topic in Rentals, Television, and Readables
Yeah, I've heard it's in some trouble... thank god. Their selection sucks, the movies they do have (anything rated R or NC-17) have had a content edit, and they charge like $5 a rental... I like Hollywood video, but do most of my at-home viewing courtesy of Netflix.
