  1. I think our foreign policy should be dependant on a world council, yes.
  2. I'm sure the US has the same opinion, and look how well they're doing.
  3. I don't want Canada to have a military period. A peace keeping force is fine, but once the war is over.
  4. I've got no problem cleaning up messes. But right now, I'm sure a white Canadian would be as welcomed by the Iraqis as a white American woul be. We didn't help them fend of the US horde like they wanted, and we expect them to smile as we try and keep peace?
  5. I wish we were a bunch of pussies then.
  6. Your first instinct would be to stop the assailant. I don't see how killing has anything to do with it, and I'd almost say a first reaction of 'Kill!' is a societal thing.
  7. Why would your first reaction be to kill them? Are you a dog?
  8. Considering little of the US taxes come back to the public, I don't see it has a huge loss down there.
  9. If we got to pick and choose where our taxes went, I'm sure many upper-class families would refuse to pay for welfare and healthcare. Whether or not they're their responsibilities is up for question, but you can see how the system would break down.
  10. Taxes go to welfare, medical, road maintenance, etc. here in Canada. Not pay taxes makes you a Libertarian or[?] a moron.
  11. Assuming they're of a religion they know is against homosexuallity, besides being walking irony, they shouldn't even be allowed to be of that religion. In some [fundamental] countries, yes. This needs to be corrected.
  12. I'm sure that's not the script of the bi-law, but reasonable self-defense is a case against murder, yes.
  13. *shrug* That's your moral complex.
  14. It's a shame you do, Circum. Cuz' he's talking out of his ass. Anarchy has nothing to do with chaos. http://www.infoshop.org/faq/index.html Read, children. There are other ways to organize against force than a parental government.
  15. No it isn't. To defend yourself [or your family] is the right. To kill the person is your circumstantial choice.
  16. I consider same-rights civil unions to be marriage. "Marriage" is just a religious title. Countries and Gay Civil Unions
  17. The idea that, without an active and interjecting government, your neighbors would slit your throat, is something propagated to the public by said interjecting government.
  18. Indeed. The Lancet report has yet to be confirmed. We can only really go by what we know. Casualty numbers thus far
  19. Alberta's balanced budget is a product of lucky geography, thx.
  20. If we do, maybe the other provinces will find oil, too.
  21. Thanks for catching up with the rest of the first world, Canada. America, you in? Hello? America?
  22. Click my signature. Will automatically post whoever's birthday you want up there.
  23. There's obviously no fundies on the board. Make a poll about whether or not the Bible is still needed, or whether or not it does more harm than good. You'll get some debate.
  24. Federal > Provincial
  25. They've done nothing in BC the Conservatives and Liberals haven't done worse.
