  1. My big motto is simply, treat all life with respect. That goes for humans, animals, insects, plants, everything. Now, I'm not ridiculous about it by not killing mosquitoes, or not picking flowers. What I'm talking about is treating others the way you want to be treated. I'll kill a spider if it's in my house, but I'm going to make sure it's an instant death so it doesn't feel anything. In the wilderness I'll pick a few flowers and stuff, but I won't go overboard and I won't litter. Being respectful is my key thing in life, and I think it works out really well. When you treat people with respect, you get respect back. Simple.
  2. In my opinion, I don't understand why the government would allow gay marriage but not polygamous marriages. The government is saying that denying homosexuals the right to marry is infringing on their rights. Isn't it infringing on polygamous people's rights their right to marry more than one person? To me, it just seems contradictory to say, "Mr. Polygamy, you're going against the traditional definition of marriage so you're not allowed to get married. Mr. Gay, you're going against the traditional definition of marriage, but you can get married, it's ok." I mean, if the women involved in a polygamous marriage are not forced into it, then what is the problem? For that matter, I'm sure there are a lot of women forced into traditional marriages due to relgious beliefs (arranged marriages).
  3. Yes, it is a myth that Canadian beer is stronger than American beer. It's because the US and Canada have a different system for measuring the alcohol content in beer. Therefore, even though beer from states shows a lower alcohol content, it's not really lower because of the difference in measurement. That aside, even if our beer isn't any stronger, it still tastes better! ;)
  4. I went to his show in Guelph, Ontario this fall. And, honestly, there were no drunk idiots there that I saw. It was a pretty good crowd. Well, I think one guy yelled something dumb at him like "take it off" or something, but no major assholes were there. During the show Matt did say that it was one of his favourite clubs to play at. Maybe that's why. ;)
