Part Deux - Where Do U Stand?
borntohula replied to Moonlight_Graham's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
i really have little faith in the voting system these days. i don't agree with forcing people to group together or to identify as one "side"/"party" rather than another. nothing is ever black and white. taking sides and making divides isn't my ideal way of running things. as much as i agree with what the NDP and green parties have to say, i have serious doubt that they're actually qualified to do the job. but that's just me. they seem to lack experience. i think if i had to vote, i'd choose the liberals just so that the conservatives don't win. -
ok lets start a fund to raise money for a pirate ship. i demand to be a part of the crew or ill stow away and eat all the provisions. yar.

Emo Music Sucks

but if my understanding is clear, no actual band falls under this catagory. if there is a homogenous sort of sound, i pity them. -

1. Nine Inch Nails - "Burn" 2. New Idea Society - "Waiting For the Moment" 3. Kyuss - "Caterpillar March" 4. Queens of the Stone Age - "This Lullaby" 5. A Perfect Circle - "The Outsider (Frosted Yogurt Mix aka Bird Shake Mix) 6. The Beatles - "Why Don't We Do it in the Road?" 7. The New Pornographers - "Star Bodies" 8. Pearl Jam - "Leash" 9. The Postal Service - "The Dream of Evan and Chan" 10. Sufjan Stevens - "Come on! Feel the Illinoise!" the postal service are the only ones who i might find embarassing because i hate ben gibbard every time i see his face. not a bad lyricist. hate his grill though. -

Marilyn Manson
borntohula replied to borntohula's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
he was confirming that watered-down rock music can, in fact, be written with rap lyrics. i mean.. i've got an F and a C and i've got a K too.... all that's missing is a bitch like U? tell me that's not a rap song in disguise. i think he was trying to come off as clever, using rap to make fun of the people involved in it... not that it worked though... he was tryign to be ironic but irony died in the 90s. yeah, perhaps he's the new axl rose. "marilyn manson and the revolving doors" -
