yeah, i pulled out my old razerblade suitcase cd. what a great cd. given the current state of "main stream" music, its hard to believe they used to play good new music on the radio. 93-95 was a great, r.e.m put out "monster", live "throwing copper", everclear "sparkle and fade" radiohead "the bends", soundgarden, man, i could go forever with good records. why does new music suck so bad.

i used to think they were ok, but after they released more songs i changed my mind. with the exception to that "breaking the habit" song, they seem to follow a template for their songs. some sort of loop, singing, cue the rapper, chorus= heavily distorted single downstokes and chester screaming his throat to shreads, repeat.

"good news for people who love bad news" is pretty good cd. some really solid tracks on there.

i dont find the songs to be too long at all. the way the songs were written, they need the length to develop and say what they need to say. if anyone heres written a song, you'll know that the song just pretty much decides how long its going to be. you can feel when its done.

i met him twice. the first was probably at least 4 years ago when MGB was playing the forks on canada day in winnipeg. i gave my friends younger brother a piece of my cigarette pack to sign and matt said something about him being to young to smoke. my other buddy got rich to sign his birth certificate. the second was at a sound check in winnipeg during the avalanche tour. he said something about my old ac/dc shirt being cool. i told him the story about how i got it from my boss and he was going to use it as a rag. this summer me and some friends went to see matt play at the red river ex. after the show we hung out with christian for probably at least an hour and a half. that was cool, just walking around talking about stuff and how hot the girls from the destineys child cover band was that played there

i couldnt say which i like better. i like them both equally in their own respect. it would be like choosing which parent you like better.

i know this is abit out dated but city of millions and empty roads are most definatly not the same song. during the avalanche tour i was at the sound check in winnipeg (april 2 2003 at the colosseum) and he played city of millions during that. then during the show that night he closed with empty roads. empty roads is written down on the set list as "audible???". i know cause im looking at it right now.

i dont know which would be my favorite but prime time deliverance,failing the rorschach test, the rat who would be king, avalanche, hunting rabbits and blue skys are highlights.

i would say when an artist changes their music to make money and not for the sake of making music. offspring would be a good example of that. sure, theyre no where to be found now, but americana is a prime example, and whatever garble they spit out after that. to me thats selling out, along with the commercial stuff talked about already

yeah, ive had the rexlessrex one in my msn for probably over 2 years. im still waiting for him to add me. after the first year i kinda lost hope. now i just keep it on to make it look like i have more people on my list.
