Holy shit I'm so awesome. I'd actually like to know more about the MG/RD team up. Do we know anything official, or do we just know that they are making music? Wassap? In addition, I bring up that he posts here and answers my emails (if they are answerable) when trying to convince people that I hear Matt Good's not a real asshole.

I see this as a prime example of greedy ambition selling some commercial spots in the name of the Tragedy de jour. It's still good, I just don't think Matt should be chastised for not wanting to be a part of that. I doubt this would have even happened if the powers that be werent going to make a few dollars on the side out of it, although obviously the majority of the money is going to a good cause.

Simple minds yah! Cry by Simple Minds is just, I guarentee anyone who reads this will love it.

Favourite/Best MG(B) Album

White Light. It's the one I think it's most important to play to the world. The rest are tied. -
Think something really new and fresh in the 80s, often somewhere between punk, ska, and synth rock.

That sounds uncool. If this has anything to do with the number people were saying was given out before Matt imploded at another forum, then perhaps you should go fuck yourself. If not, then this is a very nice piece of fan fiction you have going here. but it needs character development. B-. But seriously, go fuck yourself.

Perhaps it's about him and Ryan wanting to do all of this by themselves at home, and not go out and pimp it to record companies and the public.

I have to agree with Matt on this one. It's a good cause and yes, every little bit does help, but I see this as being nothing more than an excellent opportunity for a great gig and good PR. If they gave any more than two shits there would be a benifit concert for a different cause every week. Obviously some artists to express concern for their fellow human beings at times when it's not hip, Matt Good isn't unique in this regard, but I can't look at this concert as anything other than an opportunity for a few artists to feel good, look good, and yes, raise some money for the most popular dying people. If these artists really care, lets see them give a portion of all of their income to these charities, or invite red cross on tour with them.

Maybe he can bring back HOSAM.

I dont think these songs would fit well with videos. It just isn't the right type of song.

Most Politically Charged Matthew Good Song

Anything off of WLRRR that's not a love song or Buffalo Seven. -
Linkin Park
The_Rat_Who_Would_be_King replied to solidus's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Apart from musical style Linkin Park is Simple Plan. They both have the same song over and over that's just a simple expression of what may or may not be genuine teen angst. And being a teenager i can safely say teen angst is bullshit. It is jsut occured to me that they are a paradox. They sing/bitch about things like how, no one understands them. But then, it would seem their legions of fans understand them. But then, how could anyone understand them and listen to the music, if they are then proving the music wrong? Im bored. Listen to Nine Inch Nails. -
I looked a while back and it was hard to figure it out perfectly. I really love this line though, so i think i figured it out. Jove is was Jupiter I believe, but either way it was one of the more important gods, so it's like asking any currently living citizen of Earth "how can you love God(s)/Life/anybody/anything and jsut let the world go to shit around you" I actually think that would have fit better in the song, but I don't have a record contract. Good luck though on figuring it out.

I actually thought the Drusilla in that song was the sister/lover of Calligula, and that she alone was influencial enough to stop him from being what is now viewed as one of the most evil rulers of all time. But then maybe I'm wrong too.

"make a little paradise for many to be one, name it after liberty and build it running guns" from In love with a bad idea is a reference to how America is just an occultist experiment by the secret societies of the world. That won't help I dont think, I just had to get it out there.

I think that Sort of a Protest Song is a happy song from AoB. I've always thought that MG( B ) makes music thats very sad, but also very hopeful. And I wouldnt say WLRRR is sad, it all makes me angry, and then gets me all passionate about stuff, and stuff.

I have mine in the CD case, but it is bent from when my dad dropped the CD and case and almost made me end my life. I had to find an identical jewell case deal to put it all in. Last time I checked the site worked, but there was nothing really on there.
-
This wouldn't just sell to fans, just think of all the people who love the singles, but don't have money to blow on a CD they know nothing about. I can think of 5 people who hate Matt Good but would buy this in a second.

I think it's a great idea, if advertising is only done through the site, or fansites or something. And in response to something someone said about playing While we Were Hunting Rabits, I don't thinkt hat would work because has anyone else noticed the similarites between the dominant bass in that song and the guitar in Empty Road? Eh?
-
You're probably right, afterall isn't that what broke up the band in the end. That Dave wanted Rock and Matt wanted sexy Mattness?

I prefer Can't Get Shot In the Back as a live rarity. All together is the man. But I can't imagine where it would fit.
