WHAT ABOUT NOTHING RECORDS! WHAT COULD THEY POSSIBLY REQUEST? Actually I figure it's not the labels but rather the magazines he does the interviews for. He probably just doesn't care either way how they make him dress then pose.

One thing that almost puts me off is that I wish Trent was more anti-rock star ish. I just see too many glamour shots. Sure he's always looking all sad and such, but when you pose that much, you run the risk of being called a poser.

Girl you know it. I'd like to see Matt Good cover Head Like a Hole, but acoustically.

I watched Cash's video for Hurt in my Religion class a few times, and had to listen to the professor talk about how the lyrics are pro-Christian, thn someone busted out that it wasn't a Johnny Cash song. But he kept up that it was all like "Jesus Rocks!" even though on the same CD you could find a song entitles Heresy, but then who's counting? PS. I like the Johnny Cash version but the original just does so much more emotional justice to the song.

I wonder if any of the porn incorperated bowling trophies.

NIN - The Downward Spiral (I speak of the album not the song)

I'd have to say that musically speaking, meaning just talking about the craft of the music, it's some of the best stuff I've ever heard. I find that for every song I can sit there and just listen to the music and think of nothing else, and each time I can focus on a new aspect of the song. They are so multilayered and well timed, and well mixed that this sentence could go on forever. Trent Reznor deals with a relatively limited amount of subject matter, but so few songs sound the same (except for ones that are pretty much the same, which is a whole different kind of cool [see La Mer/Into the Void for further details])

One time I wrote a short story about a character named Bad Andy, but it was really just my theory about the meaning of Avalanche. I heard Matt wrote AoB in a cabin on a mountain when he was sick and tired (kind of like now). So from there I thought that perhaps while there Matt decided to write an album that Dave would hate and the band would have to break up. So maybe "Avalanche" refers to his epiphany to straighten up and fly right, and to take control, an epiphany that would start on that mountain top and go down through the figurative trees (the band, fans, every aspect of his career). It was a pretty cool short story, and it made more sense than it does here.

Yah I too always figured Suburbia was about suburbia. It can certainly be applied to other things though, for example just plain old... Urbia? and of course rural...ia?

"12 good punches to the face." Based on what he's said I'm thinking it's going to be a mixture of the non-instrumentals from Broken and the srumming style found on Still. And Dave Grohl is drumming, so that should be all kinds of sexy.

I started listening to them less than a year ago and im only missing 3 discs out of over 18. One of those is quite rare and the other 2 seem to exist only in Europe. But I'd recomend getting The Fragile first, because it's kind of a mix of Pretty Hate Machine and The Downward Spiral. And speaking of The Downward Spirals, make sure you get one of the re-releases, because I have all three versions, which is totally uncalled for. Any predictions on what the new album will be like?

In my heart I know he is. I'm in a StarWars state of mind right now and I can't watch the scene where Obi-wan says "That's no moon" without laughing. The the term Disco Dick Tease pops into my head as well. All the hard core people know what that has to do with Matt Good loving Star Wars.
