  2. i'm sure being there is also great though, isnt it?
  3. "Lost riots" by Hope of the States
  4. They are great... I saw them life for their Version 2.0 tour and they rock (as you canadians say ;) )... one of my favorite songs? "you look so fine" and if you can download it live, much better... they have 3 albums: "Garbage", "Version 2.0" and "Beautifulgarbage". other good songs: - only happy when it rains - #1 crush - wow - push it - shut your mouth Shirley's voice is great
  5. right Larissa ;) it is my most favorite song ever... and I would die if i could heard it life...
  6. but those songs are on the Internet ;) so it means that if they are there, we can get them... Matt wouldnt - i think - get mad at his fans for having them...
  7. I don't ;) the lyrics are ok but the music doesnt sound to be from MG... I wouldnt ever identify that song with Matt... just because his voice is unique and there is no doubt about it, but it is not the kinda song that i would say represents MG's music...
  8. dont like this song :S actually its one of MG songs I dont like at all...
  9. cool ;) you would love to be in Spain, i'm sure of that
  10. I'm listening to a band from the 80's called The Sisters of Mercy ;) they're pretty good, typical old indie music from the 80's...
  11. I don't like "Hopeless"... it is a song that i wouldn't ever identify with MG... i always avoid listening to that song because it is just (for me) so boring and so bad...
  12. welcome Joe... yes, Pony boy is a very good song... it should've included as a "hidden track", for example, in AOB ;)
  13. actually taxes are not very high... honestly, believe it or not, free education for all Spanish citizens is included in our Constitution and all people who want to study in Spain have free access to it... the same with the social health care: it is obliged for all health care institutions to take care of any Spanish citizen (it is also included in our Constitution) we pay taxes all our months from our salaries but at least we know that it is for these social care issues and i dont care if i have to pay taxes in order to maintain these facilities
  14. the original idea of communism was to have a society in which everything was of everyone, that is, there were no private possessions, everything was public, accesible to everybody... and i like that idea, at least there wouldn't be so many differences between social classes as there are right now in our systems (including Spain) at least in Spain there are still some social advances which retain some sorta communist idea: there is public health care system (everybody has free access to it, independently of your social status), public educational system (high school and university studies are free for everybody, just need to pay taxes for the course) and other free public services accessible to everyone... although not everything is as "perfect" as that in Spain... many private institutions are gaining power...
  15. well, one that i'm listening right now: "enjoy the silence" by Depeche Mode... a great version ;)
  16. another one - i'm just listening to it - "take my hand" by Dido
  17. dont worry, Anna, you are not hooked to it, u just like MG too much ;) as most of us, actually... hahaha
  18. i agree with you, Larissa... but there are many people who play some music - and it may perfectly be MG music - just to forget ordinary things and problems... i dont do it with MG's music but i do it with many more bands: i try to escape from daily routine and problems listening to some sorta music
  19. in any case, i think only the person who writes songs is the one who really knows what they mean... they are poems, and as poems, each person may have his/her interpretation or what each of the songs makes him/her feel ;) interpretations of poems/songs are always valid, they always mean something to everybody and the wonderful thing is that they do not always mean the same or provoke the same feelings to everybody: this is the richness of music and poetry...
  20. lately - after one of his concerts - i have remembered a song i used to like a lot and meant a lot to me: "Lovesong" by The Cure... one of those love songs better written ever ;)
  21. it could be that, now that you say that... i thought it was more politically oriented in the sense of fighting against oppression or something like that: "Can’t get out from under it There’s too many of us that don’t want to fight it" and then the historical references (explained by someone else in another post)...
  22. clayton, nobody should be mad at you for saying that or for expressing your opinion... that is exactly what is great of this forum, everybody can express his/her opinion with total freedom and not fearing to be "insulted" or laughed at, or something like that... i do also listen to MG (and other bands) sometimes to get away from this world, to escape from all the problems i personally may have or world problems... but i think we cannot avoid that an artist expresses his opinion on his music, the same way that a painter expresses on his/her paintings his impressions, or a writer expresses his experiences and what he/she has around in his writings... i'm not a musician, i'm just a poem writer (amateur, of course) and i express what is inside me, what worries me, what impresses me, the feelings i have inside... and most of the times, those writings express what i have around and the things that make me think the way i do... don't know if i expressed it correctly, i think i got a bit of a mess in my mind ;)
  23. his voice the first thing and his lyrics... this made me go mg crazy ;)
  24. i love how "born to kill" sounds live
