  1. I've read that it was requested on the MGB website some years ago that no buying/selling of HT occur, that people just download it/share it. I've also heard that HT was originally sold on eBay by a former band member known as "history teacher", don't know if it's true. Either way, I'd like to get my hands on it, but I can't find it, and I don't have any P2P, any advice?
  2. I think releasing an EP with Ryan and going on solo would be best. Or maybe they've got enough time on their hands to release a full album, who knows?
  3. george is teaching the kids to fight...
  4. Looking at that picture, it's funny to imagine what she's thinking... "How long is it since Matt had a shower?"
  5. I like it... it's really quite a different song, and I like the doubling up on the vocals, and doubling up on the string basses (especially that nice tonal texture on the intro) Plus, the guitar work is really sparse, but intense.
  6. Absolutely. I liked F 9/11, but no matter how much I hate bush, Moore is still a pundit, who's allowed to be called a "propogandist" on major network news (or left-wing filmmaker), whilst people like Ann Coulter are called "journalists". Neither title is accurate, let's all call them idiots and go to sleep.
  7. I vote Green. When I first went to the website to read their platform, it blew me away. But since I'm not old enough to vote, I got my mom to vote for them.
  8. You know, I'm pretty inclined to say that your mind is too small to comprehend that different people like different things. If that were true, there would only be one style of music, and only one person making music. EDIT: Back on topic, I'm not much of a U2 fan... I've listened to a couple of their songs (vertigo and beautiful day), and found them catchy at first, but got bored with them after a while. My sister got their new CD for Christmas, though.
  9. Hmm... v. It's official!
  10. The only song I remember off of the HOSAM site was Comfortable Criminals, which I couldn't even get to play on my computer. EDIT: Got them both, just needed real player for comfortable criminals.
  11. For anyone who recalls, during the writing/recording periods of Avalanche, he apparently suffered from anxiety attacks, had trouble sleeping, you know. So I wouldn't be surprised. But at that, I don't particularly cared. We've all been there, or we'll all be there at some point.
  12. Is he really? This would be absolutely great for the GP, but I don't really think that he'd be elected. People rarely vote for an individual MP, they vote for his/her party membership, with only a few exceptions. Even though electoral reform is unlikely to happen before the next election, the Greens getting a spot in the debates/winning a seat or two isn't entirely impossible, and I sincerely hope it happens.
  13. Wow, you can't accuse me of only watching right winged news station simply because I used 'flip flop'. Everything you've said against Bush leads me to beleive you only watch left wing news stations such as CNN. There are no unbiased broadcast companies out there. Yes, I know Bush has changed his mind on things as well, but not as critical and rapidly as Kerry has in the past. CNN is left-wing? That's a new one. I've only ever heard American conservatives who watch FOX News say that. I don't mean to be insulting, but CNN is anything but a left-wing, anti-Bush political agenda.
  14. Come on, that's like asking a parent which kid is their favourite. Anyways, I have no clue what to pick. Most likely, I'd pick something off Avalanche, probably Double Life.
  15. For the most part, I agree with them, but it's not as though I haven't already formed my opinion on something. The reason I read the blog is because I'm already interested in politics, Amnesty, etc, not because the blog made me interested.
  16. Agreed. I like Agoraphobe, but seriously serious is just odd enough to be interesting. I should find me a copy of free downloading blues.
  17. Hmm... I've got to say that the one song that really sticks out the most has got to be Double Life. It's probably because where it's listed in the album, the third last song, I think that's really where Avalanche peaks, as if all the other songs were building up to that, and then the album quickly winds down afterward. All the songs are good in their own right, but sound great when they're put in the right spot in the albums.
