Well, seeing as there's no existing forum for computer games... We recently got a computer out this way. That's right, a computer that doesn't suck. A Pentium 4 processor, and it doesn't reboot every time you try to open Word. And it definitely has some real gaming capability, for the first time. So I'm thinking I should get me a computer game or two. Or something. And since I haven't the first clue where to start, I figure there's enough nerds 'round this place to fill up the 80gig hard drives. Yes, you read that right - two hard drives. Bitch. I'd like to get a driving game. Anybody played Need for Speed: Underground and could give me a yea or nay? Also, recommend any other games you've got that aren't too expensive to buy and are worth the dough. I've also got my eye on the EA Games Pack, which has about five full games in it for 25 bucks.

If you earn under 29k, you're in the bottom 50%. And when you think about it, 57k a year in American funds sure isn't peanuts. And that's the top quarter of U.S. society.

No, don't worry, the world still has its head on straight... the problem is that most people are willing to pay the extra cash for less performance, less fuel efficiency, less relability and more weight. Plus a whole lot less fun.

I'm on a Toshiba laptop right now. It's my brothers. Cost something like 1700 bucks... works well enough, I guess. But I wouldn't have a clue about its gaming quality. EDIT: come to think of it, it uses a Celeron processor... so gaming is probably a no-go, unless you can get one with those new Pentium 4 with mobile technology for longer battery life.

The 3 sport is definitely a nice car, but it's pretty pricey for an economy car if you want to get it with ABS... slightly over 30k with taxes, if my memory serves - and that's not considering the extra charge for a manual transmission. That's quite a bit of cash for what is undeniably an economy car, even though it's probably one of the most attractive cars on the road.

Mmm, quattro. With the 3.2 litre V6 to boot. That's one sweet ride you've got yourself there. I have to admit, I'm a bit partial to the A3 (even though I'm not much of a fan of the Audi/VW nose), especially considering it's nice compact hatchback, without being a stationwagon. I've got a bit of an obsession with sport hatchbacks... the Mazda 3 sport being one of them. I definitely love the rear fascia on the A3, though.

What do you think of restaurants that pool tips? I.E. waiters and waitresses collect tips and then they're pooled equally among the chefs and such.

Although the A3, being front wheel drive (as my memory serves) probably isn't quite as fun for the sliding sidedways while spinning the tires.

Funny... I remember when my brother drove my uncle's G35 coupe, he was able to spin the tires just a little bit because of his lousy clutchwork. And my cousin says he's done donuts in the thing. Maybe that's because the sedan is the one loaded up with the nanny software or because the manual transmission makes it far more difficult for a computer to control the car's directions. Either way. So I assume that the A3 either doesn't have stability control or it has the option of turning those things off?
