  1. Other than the sheer mentioning of the characters, what are the parallels, if any, between Failing the Rorschach Test and Alice in Wonderland???
  2. Generally I prefer the "depressing" over the "upbeat" North American for Life is upbeat ;) oh and Flashdance II
  3. err I don't hear the elvis/cowboy thing. Although he does randomly use countryish lingo with his "aint's" and what not. side note: random quinteple post at the beginning of this thread ;)

    Best Of Mg

I hate best of albums, because they usually contain a couple unreleased tracks, dragging collectors into buying them, and the rest is obviously something one already has. I would most likely not buy this. I would much rather have a live album.
  5. Avalanche by a landslide get it? HAHAHAH LOLOL =) sorry. Wow, not a single vote for Underdogs--surprising, though I think it is obviously not his _best_
  6. I'd have to look pretty hard, but I'm almost certain I still have it.
  7. Poor guy =(
  8. What the hell happened?
  9. I'm very excited about the director's cut DVD in march. I've been holding out on buying this movie til then.
  10. Not nearly as good as the first. The fact that there was no big heist over the whole movie was sort of a letdown. Instead there were smaller jobs, the biggest of which turns out to be pointless. And the whole Julia Roberts thing was stupid... Still, I love the characters, I just wish they could've done more with them.
  11. What does PMK stand for??
  12. Pearl Jam - Green Disease
  13. tool, a perfect circle, nine inch nails, matthew good, radiohead, king crimson, helmet, the smashing pumpkins, type o negative, dredg, the mars volta
  14. Their first single annoys the shit out of me.
  15. Pink Floyd - Time Isn't that a cover of Gary Jules? Semisonic - Act Naturally other way around. Gary Jules covered the Tears for Fears song
  16. you actually liked emotive? wow. yeah I like it. The album is nothing compared to anything else maynard has been involved with in tool or apc. However 2004 was a pretty slow year as far as new releases go for me, or at least a disappointing one.
  17. I don't really like mumsy and I'm sick of "The <whatever>" band names. so I'd go with Jesus Christ Supermarket.
  18. 2005 will have a ridiculous number of great albums coming out. Tool, Nine Inch Nails, System of a Down, The Mars Volta, Trail of Dead, Queens of the Stone Age, Type O Negative, Mudvayne, Foo Fighters, and more I'm sure I'm forgetting.
  19. Totally Awesome: http://www.aperfectcircle.net/ And I've heard good things about this dredg site: http://www.traversing.net/
  20. Type O Negative - Hey Pete
  21. band: King Crimson album: Beat (1983) song: Neal & Jack & Me
  22. I'm loving the new album. A lot of the guitar / vocal melodies just hit me perfectly which is helpful. It's not really as groundbreaking as it just good music to listen to, though. new U2 > old U2.
  23. hopefully I didn't forget anything........ 1 Isis - Panopticon 2 VAST - Nude 3 Matthew Good - WLR&RR 4 Killswitch Engage - The End of Heartache 5 Helmet - Size Matters 6 Incubus - A Crow Left of the Murder 7 Tiamat - Prey 8 A Perfect Circle - Emotive 9 Breaking Benjamin - We Are Not Alone 10 Interpol - Antics
  24. $11.99 is pretty damn good for any new cd, esp. if we're talking CDN$
  25. I'm going to assume this thread is fundamentally different from the one I just posted in in that it asks what your favorite solo MG song is v. MGB so here goes Avalanche
