  1. Ain't the forums learnt nothin in English class?
  2. Me? I just wish people wouldn't capitalize the A in the title. Ain't you folks learnt nothin in English class?
  3. Just curious - was the right/left channel offset part of the original recording? It sounds a little better with the channels matched up.
  4. Don't mind me. http://s48.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1I6E9WZ...KY0RR40LVYWNF2V Acoustic "Tripoli" from the CFOX radio broadcast (5.24M). This is pulled from worldofnoise's radio recording (who hopefully won't mind), so it's high-quality.
  5. The new one's from mid-April. Same session as "Oh Be Joyful". http://www.matthewgood.org/mblog/2005/04/p...g-computer.html http://www.jennifergood.net/2005/04/turn-o...urn-it-off.html
  6. Just because it was annoying me, I removed the commercials from the file I offered earlier. This is the complete show captured from the webcast. (CFOX's webcast is 24kbps MP3, and this is a direct capture, just with the commercials snipped out.) http://s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2ULKEM3...FY3FRWUHOAIMG3R And, if you want it, here are just the songs, from the same file: http://s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=09O193X...UN0ZIWFFFXML21D
  7. There are software programs out there that can split MP3s without re-encoding them. I use this one: http://www.mpesch3.de/ It takes an existing MP3 and breaks it into useable fragments. The pieces are the exact same as the original. But, you have to understand, I try and bail out when my version turns out inferior to an already available one. And, trust me, it's happened. Same concept: songs only. From the webcast stream, 24kbps audio, not re-encoded, 2.9M. http://s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=09O193X...UN0ZIWFFFXML21D Of course, this will all be rendered moot once someone can provide an FM-sourced copy.
  8. No, it's not a radio rip, he recorded it from the webcast. Did you notice that the file I offered was the ACTUAL webcast transmission, not a recording, and not re-encoded? Yours has pops and clicks in it because you recorded it through your soundcard. I downloaded the webcast as it was transmitting, possible because CFOX webcasts IN MP3 FORMAT. So, again, why did you bother with this?
  9. You do realize that MP3 encoders have settings to vary the rate, so you don't have to encode a 24kbps MP3 at 320kbps. You also realize that people offer software that can split MP3s without re-encoding them. Um, yes, he took the file I offered and re-encoded the songs at 320kbps.
  10. Webcast capture: http://s41.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3J3HB0D...ZC1NF1R23OV61TL
  11. Crap. I posted the wrong link. Ignore the above one, it's this: http://64.34.147.150/CFOXFM
  12. Don't bother with the sound capture / conversion junk. CFOX streams in MP3 format already. Use Streambox VCR on this URL: http://64.235.197.234/CFOXFM (Don't bother clicking on it - it won't do anything.) The resulting file will be a 24kbps MP3. Look in the Received folder and rename the file "CFOXFM" to "CFOXFM.mp3". Done and done. And if you can't do that, wait for someone else to do it. There's no reason for anyone to record it on audio and reconvert it twice if you can capture the stream in pure form. Hopefully, somebody in Vancouver will record it from the radio feed to spare us from circulating webcast quality files.
  13. http://www.chartattack.com/damn/2001/09/2409.cfm ?
  14. Bah, I've got referrer logging disabled. Kinda ruins the joke doesn't it? ;)
  15. Who knew he played drums?
  16. You have no idea where that outfit has been. Jay: "You're fuckin' kidding me! The easter bunny did this?" Brodie: "All I said was 'The easter bunny at the Menlo Park Mall was more convincing,' and he just jumped the railing and knocked me down." Jay: "He's dead!" Brodie: "Oh, let it go. He's under a lot of pressure." T.S.: "What the hell happened?" Jay: "The guy in the easter bunny suit kicked his ass." Brodie: "I had it coming."
  17. He signed the cellophane? That's a little disappointing.
  18. Damn. That must be ground shipping. I think I'd cancel and re-order from someone else. Maybe playcentric.com.
  19. I was afraid of that.
  20. Yeah, I had the same problem. I paid for 3 to 7 day shipping and it took three weeks for WLRRR. Had the autograph thingy not popped up (and I not happened to have gotten home early from work), I wouldn't have ordered from them. I heard about one guy (from the UK) who ordered the entire MG catalog when he ordered WLRRR, and it took SIX MONTHS for him to get it. Fortunately, they refunded his money - I'll give them credit for that. But I generally don't pre-order, especially way out in advance. There's no advantage to it. Mainly, you lose out on deals when you lock into the first one that comes up. Originally, everybody had it for the same price. Now, FutureShop's down to $26. (To be honest, I usually wait until a couple of days after the album comes out - the pre-orders are usually several dollars more expensive.) Pre-ordering is good for limited quantity items, like when there's a new PlayStation and Sony was only able to make x number. But not for much else. Oh, and I hope MM puts the clamp down on how many signed copies a person could get. Last time, jackasses were ordering five signed copies, which was just evil. When it's something that limited, one per order/address/credit card is definitely the most fair thing to do. I'm hoping that's what happened.
  21. He did. It became part of "Ex-Pats of the Blue Mountain Symphony Orchestra". (The bulk of "4 Minute Mile" is the jammy part before the break.)
  22. And there's part two of me being out of it. I saw "look" but not "buy", then "buy" but not "look". ;) But he should be able to at least peruse the US store without a credit card.
  23. Like 1000 miles (one-way). It'd be major, like taking a week off of work, visiting some friends in Boston, then hitting a string of shows (like Toronto -> Montreal) depending on how many there are and how many days I have available. One of those "once-in-a-lifetime" kinda things. My friends have taken trips like that for bands, and I've often wondered what it would be like.
  24. I'm not holding my breath, since he cancelled the three US shows last year because of the expense of visas and such. I'm still considering making the drive up from the east coast, and trying to catch a sequence of shows. The weekend of the 15th is actually the perfect weekend in my schedule, but I'm worried that gas + lodging will end up out of my price range.
  25. Good grief, I'm out of it. I missed the word "buy" in his post. ;)
