  1. Playing Metro Last Light Redux Right now. Enjoyable.
  2. I just think that he has an amazing voice, especially when he is doing AOF stuff, and the melodies of the AOF music, the guitar sounds they use... I just got hooked. A far as C&C goes, I really liked Dallas's "little hell" album. "Hope for now" and "oh sister" are stellar songs in my opinion. His jaunt with Pink (You+Me) was ok... (lots of chemistry there) but I was expecting a little more. The song he did with Never-ending White lights was amazing (A great album that one). I agree he does seem like a whiner at times, but I don't know what it is about him... I just love his music. I'm curious what Matt thinks about AOF or Dallas Green.
  3. Like x-files, the show wasn't the same once they moved production from Vancouver to LA. It lost something. It's actually a good example of how TV execs can ruin a good show.
  4. Anybody remember this show? I loved the first 2 seasons. Which also happened to be filmed in Vancouver, like all the other classic 90's sci-fi's. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trJAv-ww-Jc
  5. I'm so excited for you guys to try this game out. Let me know how it goes! If you need any help with anything, let me know!
  6. No problem guys, I hope you get as much enjoyment out of those games as I have. They really are awesome, so awesome, I still go back and play them even after almost 15 years.
  7. Here is my SIL first single from a few years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=c3BMdX6Vnj4
  8. You can most certainly play without it. The graphics are just a little more pixelated however thats no big deal. The game only runs at 640x480 resolution. If you have a CRT monitor it will look just fine. With LCD monitors its a little hazy when not running native resolutions. Again that doesnt matter. 640x480 is 4:3 aspect ratio so there will be black bars on the sides when using a widescreen LCD monitor. The gog or steam forums should be able to help if you're having any issues.
  9. One of the best intros to a video game I have ever seen. If you like Sci-fi or space sims and have never played this game, please get a copy from steam or gog.com. Then get a glide wrapper called dgVoodoo 2 and use it to trick the game into thinking you have an old Voodoo2 video card to get the best "original" experience. There is a project out there called fsopen which enhances the graphics and updates the game however it's just not the same. This game is just amazing. Freespace 2 was also great, however I'm partial to the first game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJ-xcgBL1mY
  10. My collection is no where near as good as most of you guys. Let's see.. Old beat up Matthew Good Band football club hoodie purchased in 2001 just prior to band breakup. I really wore it out. Last of the Ghetto Astronauts CD Raygun CD UnderDogs CD (Bought twice because CD player in 4-runner wrecked my first copy) Strangest one of all skipped really bad. Beautiful Midnight (Canadian version) CD Loser Anthems CD (There is a code on the side) The Audio of Being (Black version with lyric book inside) Avalanche CD (Limited edition with Member Card inside also signed in 2005 during Coma tour) White Light Rock and Roll Review CD In a Coma CD (DVD edition) Hospital Music CD (Signed in 2007/2008 during Acoustic tour) Lights of Endangered Species CD Arrows of Desire CD Chaotic Neutral CD For some reason I never purchased Vancouver. I think I was low income and trying to support a family at the time. I wasn't buying anything in those days.
  11. I call bullshit!!!...... just kidding. Good luck Man!
  12. Just got finished watching this series for the second time. (First time since it originally aired). Man what a great show.
  13. I am a Christian. I was raised in a conservative Baptist church, stopped going in highschool, tried to go in college but it was a weak attempt. I pretty much lived a very secular lifestyle from the ages of 16-29. I never "lost" my faith but I most certainly questioned things (certain doctrines etc;). I guess you could say I now live a more "Christian" lifestyle however I have my own personal view of the bible, it's teachings etc and don't subscribe to one specific doctrine; However I mostly agree with much of the Baptist Doctrine. I believe Christianity is about a personal relationship between "you" and God and that only God knows a persons heart. Therefore I try my best not to judge others and their lifestyle. I believe that all sin is equal in the eyes of God and that all people sin, INCLUDING CHRISTIANS. I think most Christians would agree with what I'm saying. There are teachings that I don't necessarily agree with and I think I will always feel that way. In the end, when I die, I'll find out one way or another. I try to focus on the main message of salvation through faith in Christ and his teachings about forgiveness for my sins. I look at it this way: 1) If I believe and it's false, I neither gain nor lose anything in the end. 2) If I don't believe and it's true, I lose everything in the end. 3) If I believe and it's true, I gain everything in the end. If you want to judge me and say I'm a fool, I don't really care. I think I'm a pretty intelligent person who loves people. I love myself for who I am and I think that being a Christian has enriched my life and helped me over the years. No one can ever take that away from me.
  14. I enjoyed it. It's good to be back. I grew up on the first 5 seasons of this show as much as I grew up on STTNG. I love how they put a twist on everything and changed *the game*
  15. If anyone here is into folksy hipster acoustic y sounding stuff, my SIL has a website http://thelovelyindie.com/ She is a musician. Not my cup of tea but some of you may like her stuff. Change the world seems to be her most popular single.
  16. I never used to be a coffee drinker, but once I started working night shifts, I started oh about 6 or 7 years ago. I prefer my coffee to be brewed. I don't like Tasimo or ?Kurig? style. My favourite is McDonalds Coffee, followed by Nabob. McDonalds coffee is the best coffee I've ever tasted outside of Cuba. The Coffee I had in Cuba on my honeymoon was probably the best coffee I've ever had. I used to drink it black with 2 sugar, then I went to just black. Unfortunately I discovered cream in all it's glory so now I have 1 cream 1 sugar. When I want a treat, I will ask for a medium Dark roast double double with a chocolate mint flavour shot. It's amazing.
  17. You know what? I never noticed that before.... dammit now you've ruined that song for me lol.
  18. I've always wanted to see AOF live but they never came to the Sault. Now that they're back together... who knows?
  19. I like listening to MG(b) songs as whole albums, instead of individual songs.
  20. Same here. My wife bought it for me back in the fall (first time buying new or not on discount in over a year), and I agree with you. I couldn't finish it. I found that I had to spend too much time doing repetitive actions/missions to keep my base going, equipment upgraded and staffed well. I don't even know how much of the actual story I progressed though. I did play over 40 hours though, and I think that for that amount of time, I should have gotten more out of it, story-wise. I think that was Hideo's plan though. He probably wanted to do something more along the lines of Peace Walker or whatever that PSP game was called. I think the original MSG is still my favourite out of all of them.
  21. I'm no expert, but I don't think I would say your voice was "better" quality-wise when you were younger either. I think, (at least on my part), people are saying they just enjoyed the way it sounded and how it made you unique, despite your self described "terrible" technique. I do get what you're saying here though. You can't abuse a musical instrument like that and expect it to keep functioning at 100%. I view enjoying your old vocal style like how one enjoys the flavour of a good smoke. I prefer Camels Turkish Gold myself. (Since we're talking about smoking here). I hope you don't feel my comments are inappropriate. If they are, I apologize in advance.
  22. Yeah I hear ya. I found 2 of the songs from H&TH to be similar too AOF's "Born and raised". "Harder than stone" actually contains the lyrics from the chorus of "Born & Raised" and the song "Ladies and Gentleman" chorus has the same melody as the chorus from "Born and raised". I have to admit though, "Born and raised" is an awesome song.
  23. Hey guys, what did you think of this album. Here is the first single. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOXVdDULHPc This song is amazing. Woman My love is never ending Like a sea without a shore Woman I'm a fool guilty of old crimes But you are the one I adore Woman When the world has emptied and the planet is covered in dust I will stand beneath the silver moon rising Waiting to resurrect our love
  24. Those games were sooooo AWESOME when they came out. I played them so many times. I just loved them. They really captured that Star Wars "feel". You really felt like you were immersed in the Star Wars Universe. Well done! Funny moments too. HK 47 is hilarious.
