The poem 'Paris Hilton's Vagina' obviously makes it seem like 'Fell in Love with a Bad Idea'. It's hard to say though, I don't know which was written first. Before I read the poem (which was only posted about a month ago on his website) I thought it was about the generally whoring on female celebrities by the public (especially men). And yes, 'It's Been a While Since I was Your Man' was originally supposed to be the second single, and a video was released on Much Music, but radios wouldn't play it because it wasn't "pop" enough. So that's why he released 'Fell in Love with a Bad Idea'.

It looks kind of neat, but I think I would really hate the kid by the end of it. Just watching the trailer with his boring, stale voice and motionless face makes me annoyed.

The Hurricane I also enjoyed American Beauty, Happy Gilmore, and A Beautiful Mind.

I disagree. It's one thing to be a fan it's another thing to be a smart smart. It's ok to say that you don't like certain songs. Saying something like "you guys aren't true fans because all of his songs are awsome" just shows that you are Matt Good whore that's infatuated with him. As for the songs I don't like, they include: Strangest One of All Invasion 1 Double Life We're So Heavy Little Terror Of course, these are only compared to other Matt Good songs.

I'm totally cool with him taking some time off, he has put a lot of effort into his solo musician career and has spent a lot of time studying politics and such, which combined, can be very stressful and tiring. Also, doing one thing for too long can get stale. He obviously has other ambitions in life that he should definitely try out. The only think that I'm worried about is that when/if he comes back, he'll be totally weird. Look at some other artists, after taking time off, they come back as totally different people with totally different music.

I think that smaller, crappier venues would be better. It would eliminate the use of high-tech audio-altering devices and give a more pure sound. Of course, the acoustics might make his singing appear off tune and some instruments louder or quieter than others.

Pierre Trudeau is probably the name that will have the biggest link to Canada in the next hundred years. Guys like David Suzuki and Terry Fox are good, but don't really mean 'Canada' to me. If I looked at a list of their accomplishments and what they've done, there isn't too much that tells me that they're Canadian and that they've made this country significantly better.

I also like the solo in North American For Life. It's almost cocky because it has such a United States marching tune (I don't know if anyone else picked that up). The solo at the end of Born to Kill is also really good...it contributes so much to the song in every way possible. But for me, my favourite would have to be in Bullet the Blue Sky by U2.

I am also waiting until November 23rd to purchase it. Really looking forward to it. Vertigo is a good song but it kind of seems out of their style. Definitely not a song that will last longer than a few months. As for the debate on their best albums that briefly came up, my personal favourites are Achtung Baby, Joshua Tree, and Pop. I agree that they sort of lost their roots in the 90s and started playing a lot of commercial pop music (which was still awsome), but All That You Can't Leave Behind definitely wasn't the saviour that everyone made it out to be. It sold a lot, but everything after Kite is kind of blah....

He once said in an interview that he would one day like to take time off and do some humanitarian work in a third world country for a few years. I wasn't thinking (and certainly not hoping) that it would be this soon ;) Stay in Canada and keep rocking Matt! But good luck to him if he decides otherwise.
