  1. Hey cool we were born in the same hospital!
  2. Are they good songs though? I read some of the lyrics and they're different... Trying to save up some NF$ to get one of their songs.
  3. Both. If not, then Avalanche, definitely.
  4. Holy crap I didn't know people could edit. I use that site for research papers...
  5. Fearless, and then Symbolistic White Walls.
  6. Wow! I just noticed the same thing, not fifteen minutes ago, and was going to post this exact thread. I wouldn't know the answer though, does anyone have the Simple Minds album?
  7. I think this was MGB's best written album (of course, Avalanche doesn't count) and the best song could very well be one of about six I think...I went with Sort of a Protest Song.
  8. Prime Time Deliverance is one of my favourite MGB songs, and definitely my favourite on Underdogs.
  9. Beautiful Midnight is my favourite album. I voted for Load Me Up, but on any other day, it could have been Jenni's Song, Suburbia, A Boy and his Machine Gun, or many others.
  10. I'm leaving for my summer job on the 27th so I didn't even have the chance to catch any of the Vancouver dates...But after the first Seattle show sold out in like 8 seconds, I got a few tickets to the second Seattle show ;) nosebleed seats for the low low price of $95 US.
  11. do you live in coquitlam? Yah thats where I live. I was pretty stoked when I first heard I Miss New Wave. Never liked the song, just liked the fact coquitlam is in it. Way to represent Matt. Haha cool...I was once on my way home from school (SFU to Maple Ridge = brutal commute by transit) when I first heard that line...I was like "hey that's where I am now". Anyways, back on topic.. I remember hearing about Matthew Good Band and the songs Apparitions and Everything is Automatic waaaaaay back, but at the time, I was like 11 years old and listened to crappy music. I didn't really like any songs until Load Me Up was on one of the Big Shiny Tunes...that song, along with Adam's song by Blink 182 and Wonderful by Everclear (those three songs go in a row on the CD), were the only three songs I listened to. I still didn't buy any of his albums until Avalanche though, and that's when I started paying attention to all of his older stuff. Now I own all the albums except Loser Anthems and Lo-Fi B-Sides ;)
  12. ok im pretty sure he was too sick even if he hadnt left for Europe yet....that would have SUCKED bigtime to miss....so im glad it didnt happen....those kind of things make me bitter haha Yeah I was pretty pissed off. But oh well. I feel better now. Thanks ;)
  13. well he didnt go did he...wasnt he in Europe and sick then? I wouldn't know. They didn't have any signs up around campus or anything. I think I left around 5:00pm and I didn't notice anything extraordinary going on there. I'm just going by what was posted on the front page of this site.
  14. Why the crap did no one tell me he was going to be at SFU last week. Jerks.
  15. MGBv2.0 You know, like that guy who named his kid 2.0
  16. As much as I like their new album, it seems to be kind of simple to me. When I hear songs from Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby, and even when you go back to October or Boy or all the way to Pop, there is some things when I think "wow, that was really awesome". The lyrics are really meaningful, it has a unique sound, and everything works well together in a really good way. This album - as well as their last - is pretty simple to me. It's just lyrics put to music...nothing too complex (or so I find?). Maybe I just haven't listen to it enought. But I stand by my earlier comment that older U2 (even if it's just early 90's U2) is much better.
  17. I bought it at Chapters not too long ago. I was actually suprised to see it there, but it was the last copy. I read bits of it. Some is funny, some is meaningful, but most is just confusing to me :S
  18. LOL!! Apparently I'm the only one who sees the humour in this song? Totally worth my $15 NF. Who's all on vocals? I head like 4 different voices. This rocks ;)
  19. HAHA Owned!! PS...My 10th favourite Matthew Good Band song is Jenni's Song. And yes I did just write down all my favourite songs and one by one cross a bunch out until i had ten left, then organized those ten to see which one was last.
  20. I haven't heard Free Downloading Blues...or whatever it's called. Seriously Serious > Agoraphobe.
  21. I like it, but it didn't have the initial effect that Seriously Serious had on me.
  22. Cool. That's the type of weird/different Matt Good song I can like ;)
  23. I don't think this has been done before. Load Me Up.
  24. If you're a huge Matthew Good fan, then you'll spread the wealth ;)
  25. Haha, if you guys need something to puke out, check out this list: http://www.rollingstone.com/bestvideos04?p...ion=6.0.12.1040 U2 rocks though.
