New Alice In Chains

New singer does a great job, especially live. Saw them in Toronto a couple weeks ago-ish and they were awesome. Can't really complain about anything. Still would rather listen to their old albums than the new stuff but whatever, as said, this is what it is, like it or not. -

Music Isn't As Good As...

"told what is good music" i think kids can judge for themselves what they like or don't. people who love music will always find new bands, great bands. if you're 25... you're about the same age as me and there was PLENTY of terrible music growing up. Especially high-school days... Limp Bizkit/Korn/Britney and the pop wave... horrible rap. There's always good music, every decade, every generation. -
Pearl Jam

What fan of music wouldn't like to watch their favourite artist play a 4 hour gig? doesn't make sense to me. i was at the "last" pumpkins show in december of 2000 and it was 4.5 hours long and was magnificent. if you're a pearl jam fan, this album is well worth it. i need to go out and buy it asap. what concerts do they give you? -
Backspacer is the best album they've made since Yield, which is probably my favourite album actually. Really worth listening to. Highlights: Got Some / Just Breathe / Johnny Guitar / The End (could be ed's best vocal take ever) what do you think?

been listening to it and i dont like it as much as their other albums really, maybe it will be a grower. -
This isn't like the other times. I'm a member of their official site as well, have been for a long time. Noel is done. He's going to be making a solo album, i'm sure of it. He's just had it with Liam this time around, went too far. First off, they should never sign in to a long-dated tour... doesn't make any sense for them as a band to do so. They know after a while they can't stand being in the same room with eachother, so why push it? Liam still hasn't made a statement to the fans about Oasis... if he will continue at all or not but he has started writing material on his own with mates as well... see "man of misery" from his new clothing line. Supposedly he told a waiter in France that Oasis were done though... so who knows really? Noel was also saying earlier in the year that they were going to take about a 5 year break anyways... so this obviously just pushed him too far. Can't wait though, if Noel does end up doing solo material... maybe we'll finally get to hear a good version of Record Machine (he talked about a 10+ minute version of it w/ 3 guitar solo's and such at one point) and Stop the Clocks. You know he's been saving up tunes this whole time.

still didn't listen to any of the demo's... though, i'm sure you can find them on youtube? still won't listen to anything till the album is in my hands though, that's the best way. can't wait either.

district 9 excellent.
-
here's a place to post the reviews... i haven't been yet but probably will be before the end of the weekend. should be excellent, though the only review i've had was from a friend who didn't like it at all. called it the worst quentin movie to date.
-
i'm getting pretty excited for this album actually. bad pennies will be my vote as well.
-
the first album i owned was Beautiful Midnight, I heard the singles and such before but eventually found the album for cheap somewhere and just had to get it. Obviously i fell in love with the sound. Then AOB came out and I bought it first day, I remember that I couldn't take the cd out of the player, it must have been months. Still my favourite album Matt has touched thus far...
-
actually, much worse. terrible movie. do not pay money (as i did, on advice of girlfriends co-worker) to see this film. i mean, c'mon... a talking goat?
-
not going to listen to anything... can't wait for the album.
