  1. LOL the best was back in the days of ICQ. With the spam IM's saying stuff like "ICQ's going to start charging unless you send this message to everyone you know" "My kids dieing of cancer for every person you send this IM to Bill Gates will donate 1cent to cancer treatment" lol many a friend was ridiculed for sending me shit like that ;)
  2. Dude dont give others my credit!!!
  3. Some peoples children....
  4. a hot dog..... mmmmmmmmmmmmm hot dogs
  5. Again I have to restate I really am liking Empty's Theme Park. The final polished version definitely could find its way into the top 3 fav MG songs. ;)
  6. Ummm time to dump the BF and take me instead ;)
  7. Lol a couple things. I too park far away. Not cause I really care if my car gets dinged, but I always laugh at the people who sulk around the parking lot looking for a spot thats close, when it would take less time to go where there are spots for sure and walk. My philosophy with being an able-bodied person and elevators is: 1 floor up or 2 down and you should take the stairs. Its frustrating when you have to go to the 20th floor and then have to stop for people going down 1 floor. GRRRRRR When I was at uni there was a lady who had one of those scooters for people who have a hard time walking. Which is fine. Except she'd get uber pissed at people for not jumping immediately out of her way. Just because you have a scooter doesnt then mean that we all need to jump outta your way. (If you can see a common theme here, its that when people think they are more important that everyone else, or a few inconveniences a lot, it annoys me!)
  8. thats the other group that pisses me off. The jerks driving an really expensive car that take up 4 spots to protect it. Granted doesn't piss me off enough to actually go up and tell them off ;)
  9. Yes I see you do it and you dont have a sticker thingy I'm going to tell you off. I dont really care if you're just going in for a second. The stalls are there for people who need it not for people who are too fucking lazy to walk an extra 5 feet. Oh and if you're driving a Hummer while doing it, all the better ;) Oh great joy
  10. Yeah I'm really liking all these tracks. Can't wait now for the whole album to be released!
  11. Whoo got both Fridays and this set of demos. I usually miss them and then am pissed off about it lol *edit* ohhh I really like Empty's Theme Park
  12. It was refreshing to see a war movie that had someone else portrayed as the hero. I remember when I was younger, I watched Memphis Bell with my grandfather (he flew for Atlantic command doing weather scouting and such). I didn't understand it at the time, but he was actually peeved at the movie. Talking with my mother I found out the reasoning, he was pissed at how the movie portrayed the Americans as the giant hero's of the air bombings. My other grandfather, actually joined the RAF in 1935. He did 2 tours in Africa and another serving as a squadron commander in Britain. He met King George, and was assigned (twice) to drive Winston Churchill around (actually a funny story cause they got lost). Unfortunately my grandfather passed away when I was young, and I never got to full understand what he went thru... One of my big regrets in my life...
  13. No doubt there are any WW1 vets. Heck in 2004 there was only 1 Canadian WW1 vet still alive. But you read about it what they went thru in books, and hear about it in school. I knew it was tough. But for whatever reason seeing it in the movie just brought a whole new level of realism, and from that appreciation. I'm noticing that with each passing year as a society we seem to becoming less and less appreciative of the sacrifice that was made for us to be able to enjoy the lives we have, and its movies like this that remind us.
  14. I felt it was a lot more than a by-the-numbers movie. But sure thats just my opinion. The thing that struck me was, that I knew in my head what the soldiers during the first world war went thru in the trenches. But seeing it was completely different.
  15. Atlantis always seemed to lack something. I dunno, not a bad show but not UBER bummed that its ending. Not like w/ BSG. I just about broke my TV by throwing stuff at it when they ended the current season halfway thru and found out that they werent going to finish till 2009!! Space Above and Beyond was a great show! Stupid Fox....
  16. Anyone else gone to see Passchendaele?? Saw it earlier in the week, and have to say it was a pretty awesome movie. It is about 50/50 love story vs war movie. But it actually provides an great juxtaposition between the parts. Best movie I've seen this year so far ;)
  17. I recognize the Johnny Cash cover of Hurt. However I'm fairly certain I've never actually sat down and listened to it specifically. Any idea where I'd have heard it?? Was it in a movie or a TV show or something... Grrrr this is going to bug me now. ------------------------------------------------------------ Personally I enjoy MG's cover of Enjoy the Silence more than the original from depech mode. Another really good cover of that song is from LaCuna Coil
  18. I agree. I love Matt's cover. The original really didn't do a lot for me. Marin is one of my fav songs from Hospital Music ;)
