  1. So you're going to punish another store for a product, which they didn't sell you, that broke? Hmmmm can I punish you for the fact my cell phone is dieing?? I mean you didn't sell it to me but its okay really! In my oh so humble opnion any of the options that involve "conning" Future Shop are wrong, and I would never do it. But hey my morals are worth more that $100 to me. But think about it logically. IF you buy a new mouse and then return the old one, what will most likely happen is the store will simply re-stock the old broken mouse and then some other consumer will buy the mouse and get it home only to find out it's broken. Doesn't really seem fair to me.
  2. Its probably just being a cheap guitar then, cause I didn't spend much on it, not knowing if I'd keep it up. Generally the rattle happens with the longer strings, and ya I only pick atm no strumming for me yet
  3. OHHH count me in. I read a few weeks ago that google aps has started to host ajax libraries so that every time you goto a page that uses ajax you dont have to continually re-download them. Never used them ourselves. But if you want to put in AJAX might be worth look into.
  4. So I'm just learning. But I'm finding when I strum some strings, while holding down a note, I get a metal rattle, like the string is hitting the frets lower down. AM I doing something wrong? How is this prevented??? ;)
  5. might've had a delay in shipping them then. Was curious why I'd have gotten mine a week before you got yours. But seeing how we didnt get the same item. Cant really compare
  6. oh cool, are you using AJAX or the like for the graphical output? Or just building the images on the fly? or just really good css tagging? ?
  7. Thats really odd, Got mine a week ago. Did you get a signed copy as well??
  8. Ohhhh a BSG game!!! What are you coding it in??
  9. Yes killing Data was a dumb fuck thing to do. Plus I never saw why people had issue w/ enterprise. I quite liked it.
  10. Oh so you mean we're going to see stuff like Scotty's battle with anorexia Sulu having self-loathing for being gay and in denial and well Chekov he just looks like a cutter to me. Hmmmm Uhura emo? lol I'd actually pay extra to see stuff like that ;)
  11. What about assorted baked goods?? Would you send me some of those?? ;) PS I'm loving the 4 demos I have so far (including Great Whales) Can't wait to hear them with the final coat of polish on them
  12. For some reason I thought Freddie Prince JR was playing Kirk. Glad to see he's not ;) Looks pretty good to me
  13. Oh but Jane it's worth the wait  Got my signed copy from Maple Music on Monday so they're a coming ;)
  14. Wait where are the pictures of me in this thread??
  15. I agree hearing HOSAM live would be pretty cool. But he covered 2 of my 3 fav songs so I guess can't complain ;)
  16. Ahh fair enough question. Both my grandfathers flew in the war. My paternal grandfather joined the RAF in '36 flew 2 tours of duty in Africa before being transferred to Britain where he became a squadron commander. He met King George, and Churchill (twice). Actually he was assigned one day to drive Churchill around to do some troop inspections, and this was during the time when they were really afraid of German invasion, so all the roads signs were taken down, and they actually got lost for like 5 hours. My grandmother was on one of the last civilian boats to go from Canada to Europe, she traveled over there and then onto Africa so that she and my grandfather could get married. My other grandfather flew as an advanced weather scout. So he would be sent ahead of the bombers by himself to scout targets to ensure that they could be seen. Quite a dangerous task as I gather. For me, the reason why I'm probably a tad overzealous when it comes to remembrance day is because when my grandfathers were alive, I never appreciated what they did in the war, and its something I really greatly regret. Also I just think with so many of our soldiers overseas right now fighting for other peoples freedoms, that we really need to stop and spend a day where we all express our thanks for what they do, and hope and pray that everyone makes it home to their loved ones
  17. phew I was a tad worried that a lot of people didn't understand the significance of remembrance day.
  18. yeah it varies greatly from person to person on how much altitude affects you. I think basically it goes down to much hemoglobin is availble in your blood stream and generally people who have smoked in the past don't have as much.
  19. Just a reminder on Tuesday that we all should stop and reflect on the sacrifices made for us, and our freedom. If you also have time I'd highly suggest listening to this weeks Vinyl Cafe. Stuart McLean did his yearly remembrance day show, and you can hear the whole thing on the pod cast. Very well done as always.
  20. Its kinda like what the grandpa in Little Miss Sunshine says. When you're young doing drugs is stupid. But when you're old you're going to die soon anyways, you're stupid NOT to be doing drugs. lol
  21. Thats the nice thing with Surfthechannel. It is a central place that indexs all those site so you dont havefta go looking for what you want to watch. And you dont have to install anything ;)
  22. ;) It wasnt a vet but the local SPCA. I'm fairly certain that they were doing less to actually punish this women but more to raise publicity about the issue of animal cruelty. There have been some rather disturbing cases around here lately. Kids put a cat in a microwave some teenagers dragged the family dog behind their car. Pretty sick stuff actually.
  23. Check out surfthechannel.com ;) Should allow you to catch up
  24. I was reading today on canoe.ca that apparently McCain advisers have been coming forward now that the election is over telling the truth about Palin. http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/World/2008/11/06/7324441-cp.html Apparently she didnt know Africa was a continent lol
  25. but if small minded people have issues with it. Thats their problem not ours. A lot of people are happy as they see this as the end to failed politics of the past. Granted only time will tell whether or not Obama can or even will bring about the changes we all so desperately need. But for now I like many other are just happy at the chance of cede change, and the hope of a better tomorrow it brings ;)
