  1. Not sure what i will be wearing, probabbly a blak university of waterloo sweater and jeans, with a team canada hat i imagine(i always wear a hat). I am not familiar with the venue at all though so i have no idea where i will be during the show, close to the front i hope.
  2. My brother and his friend got me a ticket to the show, and my dad is giving me a ride home from school so i will be able to drive myself and by brother et all there. So things are looking good, i have never seen matt live and looks like i will get to for the first time on friday.
  3. Really, i didnt realise the same thing was happening elsewhere. Must be some master plan to convert the heathens or something. I dont understand the need to graphiti the entire campus, and force their beliefs down others throats. Most students here have complained a lot and i dout that the chalking will continue unless they want a war. Very interesting to find out that its not just the fanatics here doing it.
  4. A band that played during frosh week last year, no idea on their name, played Hello Time Bomb. The sound was kind of distorted as the speakers were very poor but it was alright.
  5. Failing The Rorschach Test Avalanche Running For Home Sorry, i just cant put aopc ahead of running for home ;)
  6. Well for the last 2 weeks a group of students have been plastering all over the campus in chalk the words "Do you agree with byron?" For the first week it was just that and no more information. This week they began giving away who they were and who byron was. Turnes out its the campus crusade for christ doing it and byron is some random guy (obiously high up in thier organisation) trying to convey how god and jesus can change your life. I am not a religous person so i ignored the message they were preaching. However, i find thier method ingenious. Everyone on campus heard about it and everyone who did absolutely had to find out "who the hell is byron". By now everyone on campus had heard of it and they began holding rallies where byron spoke. The actual stuff they speek seems rather arrogant as they are the fundamental christian type that believe that they are the only true belief system everyone else is wrong and going to hell. Being that the campus is very multicultural with every major religion in the world represented in rather high numbers it is not something i deem as appropriate. But still their method is rather clever and the whole thing caused quite the uproar with the student population. Anyone have any oppinions on it? You can check out the website at: www.iagreewithbyron.com be warned there is very little real info at that site, half of it is extreme right wing religous propaganda and the other half is idiots screaming BS by means of the forum.
  7. I cant stand any of it ;), just seems such an odd craze. Sports and documentaries are my reality tv.
  8. All the dirty things i could say to that. . . But i think i'll just end it there hehehe ;) And i cant think of anything constructive to add to this post so i wont try, its late and this weeks midterms killed my brain.
  9. I never actually used the comments, i read them often enough. Most times there was nothing worth reading as people are for teh most part idiots. but sometimes there was a good post here or there. Its too bad, hold on to your maturity as it seems to be in short supply these days
  10. I thought us boys had cooties ;) Hope you enjoy it, not the kind of movie i like to watch, i find scary movies boring
  11. Anyone else see game 4 on fox last night? They repeatedly, over and over went to a live shot of troops in iraq watching the game over there. Usually this kind of thing is expected and i dont see a problem, the troops like baseball too, but every time they showed the live feed in big bold letters under the video was "Multi-National Iraq Forces" They showed the vidoe upwards of 10 times towards the end of the game and each time with the same words under it. It just struck me as odd that fox had to go so far as to point out that its still a "coallition" in iraq, do they think that it really matters to anyone anymore? It was just such obvious propaganda, which i guess is to be expected from the likes of fox.
  12. How fast did this reach gold compared to other records such as BM or underdogs. WLRRR has been out for how long? about 3 months, i cant remmeber. I dont generally keep track of record sales totals.
  13. I'm not very familiar with hamilton downtown. How close is the concert location to the bus terminal(walking, if walking is possible)? Anyone know?
  14. I really enjoy these kinds of movies, not for the movie but i like the special effects and i absolutely love finding faults in the reality of movies. Being a physics major at university, movies like this and "the core" give me a delightful time pointing out what is wrong with that, why that cant happen etc. I mean noone goes into these kinds of movies and expects the story to be true to real physical behaviour but i still enjoy watching and wondering how grown poeple can think this would really happen. I think we all know the chances of a supper storm destroying the northern hemisphere in couple of days. I would agree that mostly any movie in this end of the world genre is lame and clich riddled but it is so funny, everyone knows how it will end before its over because all of these kinds of movies have the exact same plot, just a different disaster. My astro physics professor once spent 20 min discussing the inaccuracies in the move "the core" during a lecture on innerplanetary dynamics. It was priceless.
  15. I'm kind of a sci fi and action movie junkie. Some of my favourite films ever are the terminator series, total recall, predator, etc. I dont think any other action star can do what arnold does in quite the same way. He just has this attuitude and humour with the way he acts that no other action star has, besides maybe bruce willis but they are totally different kinds of people. I would consider myself a big arnold fan, both of the man himself and the characters he plays. I dont think any other republican can warrent such high levels of respect by so many differnt groups of people.
  16. 1)Advertising on Police Cars 2)Running for Home
  17. Buffalo 7 i think would be the most successful on the radio, i have actually heard it playing in a future shop before, probabbly just because they sample from all the cd's they sell but. . . I also really like in love with a bad idea as a single but as it was mentioned previous it has already been released as a radio single. Saddly everyone knows that the a single has to be relatively short, so that rules out a lot of matt's great songs. Although i have heard green days Jesus of suburbia a couple of times on Edge102.1 and it is 9min(probabbly just an extra promotional thing however)
  18. I really want to go to the show in hamilton, or guelph. I have never been able to see him live, any shows near me were 19+ and now that i'm 19 i cant get to any, it sucks! I'm stuck in waterloo with no way out. Cars cost money i dont have. I'm new to the board btw, name is Dan.
