  1. The British system was around before the U.S. one, the U.S. just modified it to make it less British.
  2. I don't believe in polygamy, marriage is meant to be a marriage between two people. I think Harper is wrong, he did something similar during the election even on a different subject.
  3. Bono does something useful, going to the U.N. to talk about his concerns. Bono talks to world leaders, he tries to press for change even. The U.N. has representatives from most of the countries in the world. He even went with a member of the U.S. government to Africa to see what needed to be done, first hand.
  4. Matthew Good, not to attack you, but how did you get to be this educated? This is not an attack, but seriously, I'm assumming you did you're reasearch, watch, read, and follow the news as well. Well what's to stop someone else from doing that? I am not a Conservative, nor do I agree with their policies, but that does not mean I agree with your ideas either. I was not even trying to push your buttons either, I assumed you would never read this even. It is great that you do talks, and try to help peak people's interests in politics. I am not even trying to take away from that, but if you were not famous, some of those opportunities would still be hard to come by. But just because someone does not agree with your positions on the U.S. government, does not mean they do not disagree with the U.S. government themselves. We had a topic about being anti-war on those board recently, about being anti-war. And both sides were represented. Some wars need to be fought, if it was not for the allies in World War Two, how many more Jewish people would have been killed by Adolf Hitler? He managed to murder five million. He also manage to kill another million that were simply against him. Sometimes, there are peaceful means to stop crazed madmen such as Hitler that includes non-violent means. Such as Kruschev, who simply waited out Stalin, and once Stalin was gone, he began trying to show people the truth about Stalin. That could not have happened with Hitler though, he had to be stopped through force. I, however, do agree with some of your stances on the internet, such as some of the comments people here have said about Jennifer Good recently. I truthfully was not intrested in what you had to say recently, but I did think that some of the fans, were blindly taking your side. I felt that people sometime need to remember to view the facts and interpret.
  5. He doesn't play guitar on the track, Keith Scott, and Craig Northey play guitar on it.
  6. I don't understand why people treat Matthew Good the way they do. Everytime he goes over the top, they take his side of the story, regardless of what the other side says. They attack people who have a contrary opinion about Matthew Good's views. Recently we saw something similar in all the threads. People would say maybe Matthew Good's a little more at fault than others are claiming, and people become all defensive. Seriously, he's a musician, he's not a god, he can be wrong, and he can do things that are not in the nicest ways. And I saw that thread that cause all of this, and, in my opinion, it was Matthew Good who started this. But, I'm not here to talk about that. By not agreeing with everything Matthew Good does though, doesn't make any fan less of one... But, if people have points they like to bring up, they should not be defined as "baiting" or invalid because someone "baited" Matthew Good, because how many of us usually see these so called baiting comments? On "The Double Life", they have been having a similar discussion as we had. People said that the respectful comments that simply disagreed with Matthew Good were removed, unlike the immature ones. We can't always know what happens, so when we don't it's important to let everyone have a voice, and then form an opinion. Beyond that, if a reply is going to be made, make sure it's respectful, and not dismissive.
  7. She had two albums, and a couple E.P.s, and a DVD... "Sour Pie" (E.P.), "Stuff" (I'm pretty sure this album was a big hit), "Live Stuff" (Live E.P./Album), "Home Is Where My Feet Are", and the DVD "Live at The Great Hall".
  8. Sum 41's "Chuck" was named after a U.N. worker who helped the band out of the Congo when a war or a battle broke out there. They were there filming something for "War Child" when the war or a battle broke out getting the band caught in the crossfire. I wouldn't be surprised if they used that for inspiration somewhat instead...
  9. I posted the 1999 Liner Notes today, he actually sings in the song, apparently...
  10. "Villian of The Year" was a song written towards the end of the recording of "Underdogs", it wasn't recorded though. I think it was later re-worked and turned into "Near Fantastica".
  11. These are the liner notes from inside the CD cover of "1999 Year of The Fox"... Hopefully that clears that up...
  12. The Hub is a terrible system. "Big City Life" was only played live, and I think I have one or two of those songs so if you PM me, I can figure out a way to send them....
  13. Thanks, and I have no clue, I posted once, and then when it went back to the topic page, it was a triple post...
  14. It's pronounced "doll"...
  15. If everyone had the power to change things, I doubt anything would ever get done.
  16. The N.D.P. is too left wing, to an extremer point than the Liberals. The Conservatives used to be more towards the middle right, when they were the Progressive Conservatives. Some people may still think they're in the middle right. In times of prosperity, people tend to stay in the middle. People in the praries are fed-up, which is why they have voted right, very right, in the last decade. With that said, I'd rather trust the Liberals with the country than the Conservatives, N.D.P., and Greens.
  17. I Mother Earth We're all allowed foul ups...
  18. The same person who wrote most of the old "Limblifter" songs wrote the new songs. It's my understanding they were "Alarmbell" songs though...
  19. All people in political parties are "career politicians". But you can be a "career politician" and be interested in change...
