Me too, It was too bad Gary couldn't get something going with Rafe and Lydia last night. However, I didn't like how Steph was upset that Lydia was upset about not winning any reward challenges after Steph has been given food rewards several times now. Yeah Survivor's not fair, but being upset over someone thinking you've had an unfair time there won't help you either.

Ian Browne's the drummer on the debut CD. ;) -
I think the best part was when Gary said something along the lines of "Steph's a bit of a celebrity because she's been on the show before, but they can get her autograph at the end of the show", and Jaime and Bobby Jon just start laughing away. But it was too bad to see Gary go, I was hoping he could swing one more and vote out Judd or Stephenie.

I think there's bad eggs in any party, and it has nothing to do with time. -
I personally am not a Stephenie fan, but I think just blurting out Judd lied would be suspicious too.

What's your favourite Catlow song? Mine's probably "Pose". -
I would have kept Jaime for that though. I think they don't trust Gary much though either. He's being a bit of a smooth talker so taking him to the final two could be a better benefit, plus Judd could weasel into other people's good graces far easier than Gary from another tribe.

Actually, I think they'd have to pull through with quite a bit of this, like the Air India Inquiry, and what not. And Business, sometimes over estimate, like Nortel did, and Apple did this year. It happens, however, it would be bad for a government who promised balanced budgets to overspend which could happen if they spread themselves to thin. Svend Robinson was already being investigated I believe when he admitted he stole something. However, an expensive ring can lead to millions of dollars too, he's a theif, I can't see how you can make an exception for a party you support after you couldn't for one you cannot. Seems a bit hypocritical to me. Also, the eighties P.C.'s were not so glamourous, they were ousted out of office by the Liberals in 1993. That's why the Liberals have been in power for so long, combined with the Reform being too right wing too of course. -

Gary might be able to make it out of this week too, it all depends on how fed up they are with Judd, and much more he makes them fed-up with him this week.
-
I think he's going to be on next week when The Hour has two showings in Vancouver
-
I've never heard of or seen it before.

Ah, well wasn't it created by Mark Burnett (the guy who created Survivor)? Back on topic... I wonder who will go this week?

Every party gives out money for projects before an election, it's stupid not to, for one it helps you get re-elected, two that's usually when there's a lot of extra money lying collecting from whatever they didn't spend on or hadn't had the plans in place to spend on until then. Also, perhaps they underestimate because if they over estimate they'd spend more money than they have. Part of their promise is to keep the budget balanced and it's difficult to do that if you have overspent. Other parties have "liars and theifs" run to, including the NDP. If the NDP is so much more moral why is Svend running again? They want power just as much as the next party as far as I'm concerned. -

Svend Robinson of the N.D.P. was a theif and he's planning on running again in the next election, and all he got was community service, so I'm taking it you're not going to vote for him. ;) I think that N.D.P. is not that well meaning, they've been trying to force the current government's hand until the Liberals said no more, and now they're calling an election that Canadians don't want right now. I think the N.D.P. is making many promises right now just to get votes. At one point Layton said the only way the parties could get his support was to let Canadians consider election reform, yet that disappeared as support for it diminished. And the fact of the matter is they supported a government that was just trying to do good, and when the government couldn't do everything they asked they then decide to punish them, where's the justice there? Also I don't think a weaker economy is a good sacrafice because that means the NDP then doesn't have the money to pay for their social programs. -
I haven't seen the show, but I didn't like the idea of it.

Best Album Of The 80's?
Matt replied to driftinginfluence's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
why bother having discussions? becuase its interesting to see what albums people like. You talk about validity, what makes your choices more valid thean anyone else's? Actual substance is again subjective, how can you judge it? If you say that Back in Black sucks (not that I am a fan of the album or even the band, although it was a pretty clutch album for them to make follwing the death of their singer, not many bands continue on after something like that), why? because you don't like it? Fine, but again your opinion has no more weight than anyone else's. Everyone stated their favourite album, as did you, but you are the only one who criticized someone else's choice. Did anyone ask you about your thoughts on that particular album or that person's choice? I don't think so. What makes you an authority? you will prob reply to this saying that you are allowed an opinion and the like, but does it mean that should you always give it? Just because everyone has a right to an opinion doesn't mean that he or she should always express it, especially in a case where there is no right on wrong answer. If you don't like someone's choice, congratualtions but nobody cares. This thread is not a discussion of the merits of ACDC's work, just a simple discussion of albums made in the 1980's that people enjoy. If you want to start an anti-Back in Black thread go right ahead. In case you missed this I'll repeat it for the last time. MUSIC IS SUBJECTIVE Objective. This is the one thing I don't like about many I Mother Earth fans I've run into, musically I find many of them are too arrogant. What makes music good isn't neccessarily how complex or dis-similar it is. It's how good the music is to the listener, for some the above is exactly what they look for and that's cool, but not everyone has the same view of what music should be. -
They've already cancelled the Martha Stewart Apprentice, once the first edition is done, so is the show.

I don't think it will win too many Oscars because movies about real people was more last years thing. Last year the Nominees were Don Cheadle, Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Clint Eastwood, and Jaime Foxx, all of which were playing real people. So, I think this movie probably came a year to late to do well at the Oscars, but who knows maybe I'll be proved wrong.

Well it's only an hour show, and they show three different days worth of stuff usually, so it's kind have difficult to show it all.
