if you don't like Nascar that's fine, but you gotta give credit to anyone who can turn a corner going 180 mph, that takes major balls.

we could get songs more accurate than what's out there, it just takes time, i know the giant solo down pat, o guess i could tab that, but i hate tabbing, even with a program it sucks, but there should be more accurate tabs out there

here's the lyrics to the best I can decipher from the Waterloo show, please correct if anyone knows the actual lyrics, i think this is pretty close anyways The Boy Come Home while I go over it in my head I walk through those doors stand there staring there ain't one soul that's in there dead my hand stays out to keep my head walking out I see you sitting and that 40 year old man's scratching your arms like your skin is crawling but done up the best you can faith was piling through your window them Papa's they catch hell strange to think we could have been so brought up by ourselves run through the streets like rivers raging to seize our baron sand why other grain tears you apart stay done up the best you can running for the line stretched to the desert and our camoflouged hotels where traded up to new distinctions puts justice in your shells take one for the team and that pretty lady used to cover up the smell when you get back boy your just crazy if you dare kiss and tell this aching heart ain't something I done this aching heart's been handed down but I'm done with it now so I go over it in my head I walk through those doors and stand there staring my hand slips into my coat and everything just freezes running out I see you sitting and that 40 year old man's the boy come home, yeah

Matt and Ed are both similar in vocal delivery, i'v heard that comparison many times, both amazing singers, the high harmony in the end of lightning crashes is sick, so good

Dallas has hurt the band more than he has helped it. So to you, if you're not a whiny myspace-ready emo douche you have to be into politics right? S/T = Fun, funk and more fun Watch Out = just shut up and take your toaster in the bath already! in all fairness he writes the songs does he not? if that's the case, then isn't he sort of an important part of the band? he is a cool guitar player and does have a sick voice, one of the best in music in my opinion -

i have to agree, while i think it definately adds to some songs, its annoying to hear him only do that, if he played guitar or keys or something else besides just screaming, because it always sounds the exact same or even if he sang once in awhile, i just find him to be expendable, but each to his own iguess, if they didn't want him in their band they wouldn't have him i'm sure. I don't know about this recent record but I know George contributed alot to the lyrics of the first one and they were easily some of the best I've heard. They were screamed throughout the record but I find when you know what he's saying it makes the song that much enjoyable. Overall I think the first album is way better than the second, it had better lyrics, was more complex musically, and for some reason I found with more screaming, the songs didn't get old as fast. There's no way shutting up the screaming will help Alexisonfire, if anything they should restrain Dallas from writing the lyrics to the songs. All that man writes is dull, cliche words. Just look at his solo album. i wasn't aware he (George) wrote the lyrics, and i will admit the main fault i find in dallas are his lyrics (for the most part), i'm not ahuge fan of the band, and to tell you the truth i haven't listened to them a great deal, but from what I've heard I prefer the songs where dallas is featured more, because his voice is so good. -

no worries man, don't let me stop you, if the song means a lot to you , by all means do it, if anyone can play piano decently and wants to do a piano version of a song with me let me know, i f you play it in midi i can run it through a grand paino synth and it would sound pretty good, or whatever a piano version of tripoli would be good, most mg would sound good on piano frankly EDIT: spelling
-
God another cover.........I'll get my act together when you record some decent original materiel. Anyways if I were to do one tune it would be the Inescapable Us! inescapable us? you couldn't play that staright through without fucking up, you can't play anythign straight through without fucking up, i always have to carry the song, you got no rythym dave-o, no style.

yeah it was the Mr. Show, what was the name of ther band again? it was hilarious but i cant remember, David Cross is so good
-
where's lets get it on? i voted suburbia but i think lets get it on is one of the best tracks on the album
-
that's a wicked idea, i was gonna mention this awhile back but didn't for some stupid reason. One request: no one touch Rabbits or fine art. I am already in the process of recording Giant, so i may contribute that, i've been working on an acoustic version of that for awhile, me and Noise Pollution (if he'd get his act together). Other than that maybe Tuffle Pigs or Rat, but i'm hesistant to touch those two either, too personal and amazingly good.
