  1. love the lyrics for "Bespin" I wonder if Matt is still just as big a Star Wars fan...
  2. The manifestos are a great insight into what Matt was thinking at the time he wrote each song. Like Tripoli made no sense to me until I read the book. And, for the meaning of "The Killing Of Matt Good" I think its pretty obviously an allagory for his problems with Regina.
  3. Hoobastank At work, we have the radio playing at all hours. On the 9-5 weekend shifts I usualy get, they play all of the "Top Lists (the radio Station top 15, followed by the Saskatchewan Top 30 then Rick Dee's top 40 and played each countdown two times a day. They replayed the number one song from last week at the start of each show, then the new number one at the end. The Reason was number one for like 8 weeks in a row....So I heard it litteraly back to back two or three times a day. It drove me completely batshit. Even before that, its still one of the shittiest songs ever.
  4. Agreed. LWD is one of my favorite Matthew Good songs and one of the best on the album. I like Avalanche and We Were Hunting Rabbits more, but hearing Weapon too often has dropped that song to 4 on my favorites from the CD and LWD to 3. And for some reason I really can't stand World Called Catastrophe. That and Been A While are the only songs from Matt's CDs I always skip.
  5. Current Personal favorites Ghetto-War is Over Underdogs-Prime Time Deliverence Midnight-Get it On Audio of Being-Under the Influence Avalanche-While We Were Hunting Rabbits White Light-Put out your lights
  6. I had to go with Automatic, but Put Out Your Lights is a close personal second. I'm suprised its not on there.
  7. It's hard to be a Matt fan here in Regina, especially if you want to find some of those rare B-Sides. At the moment, I've just got all of the Good LP's and the Raygun CD. I'll be in Vancouver later this month and will find the time to go look for these other CDs (Loser Anthems and Lo-Fi). If anyone can point out a good place for me to start looking for them, I'd appreciate it. Also, not Matt-related, but I'm also hoping to replace two of my long-lost CDs. If anyone knows any used CD stores where I can get either A Perfect Circle's Mer De Noms or Harvey Danger's King James Version, I'd be eternaly grateful.
