  1. Very good quality clip. I got a bit overboard with the videos last night. I decided only to get clips of the really, really good parts and walked out with about 35 of them saved. The picture quality is terrible (cell phone, not a digicam) but the songs carry through. I'll have to load 'em up sometime tonight.
  2. Probably too late to ask, but if anyone knows of someone who got shut out of the S'toon show tommorow, I ended up accidentaly getting an extra ticket ordered online. If anyone wants it, I'll pass it on for $15, still cheaper then the gate. I'm in Regina tonight, but drop me a txt at 306-581-3365
  3. The Fine Art of Falling Apart, by the looks of it. I've never been able to properly descipher the lyrics to it anyways. SO, if the site's listing is based off of the AOB lyric book, I'll have to trust that.
  4. Anyone buying spare tickets to sell-off later? My friend and I are doing a 3-day tour of BC that weekend, would love it if some nice Victorians could hold a couple tickets for us.
  5. They don't. Presumably, one is left-sided, the other right.
  6. I was wondering too. And I don't mean where to find them, but just how do they get from point a (Studio recording) to point b(p2p). What were the tracks physically transfered from? I don't see why they would be left off the CDs, since Matt's B-sides are some of his best works, as far as I'm concerned.
  7. I'll be there, taking a coinciding vacation at the end of March that I'm extending until the 8th (calling it an early birthday present), so I've got a place to stay, $ for things, etc. What I need is someone to reserve some damned tickets for me. I'm hoping to get my sister, who lives in Van, to go by and pick some up, but I'm not sure if she'll be able to/want to. Anyone here feel like getting a couple of extras for me? I can pay for 'em when I get there and if you don't trust that, its not like you won't be able to get a good price for them from someone else.
  8. I guess in hindsigh, I should have put <16
  9. At the last show he had here in Regina, there were two blond girls by the side of the stage that kept yelling that Matt was hot. When the band went outside before the encoure, the girls kept trying to go back there. One of them made a "sexual hand gesture" at Pat, who just looked confused. They were like -16.

    Opener

He played Rat Who Would Be King, Carmelina and The Workers Sing a Song of Mass Production when he was here last year, so guessing that AOB rumor is false. Most likely he doesn't play songs from that CD very much because it wasn't as popular a CD. Since the band split, he rarely plays anything from his MGB days that wasn't a huge single. I love Audio, so I was really happy to hear those three in concert. After Workers, he let us know that it was the second time they ever played that live (first time was Saskatoon. And for best opener? Near Fantastica, Giant, or Man of Action would all be great. Basically any song that allows the band to start playing one by one is a good opener.

    Junos

Yeah, but Raine Maida is a pussy. Have you heard OLP lately? I always thought the other Mike (the drummer, I think) was the real brains in OLP and Rain was just there to sing pretty. I dunno, I never really did any research into it. And yeah, they suck these days anyways.
  12. I'm still thinking its possible Ryan and Meegan's part in the band would be for certain shows only. So, I'll be sure to be in Van for the April show, just in time for my birthday :-D
  13. When else has she done back-up for Matt? I know she had something to do with Symbolistic White Walls...

    Favour?

Man knows to grab the fruit before its ripe.
  15. Anyone kind enough to post some pics of some of the old Matt Logos (on stickers shirts, whatever)? I've only seen merchandise for Avalanche, and I'm really not a fan of the cover art.
  16. When I saw him in concert at Plaza of Nations in the summer of 03 (during the fireworks, if anyone was there and remembers). Got in for free because my friend's dad knows Pat. Great show. I hadn't heard anything off Avalanche yet, but I had the line"Can't fear fear if fear's the mindkiller" stuck in my head until I picked it up.
  17. Just wondering how everyone got introduced to the music of Matthew Good. I'm suprised how many Americans we have on the bored, I had no idea the band got any radio play in your neck of the woods. Like most preteens in the 90's, I first heard Matt through Apparitions, which I thought was a great song. I didn't buy alot of music back then, so I didn't pick up any CDs until around the time Strange Days became a video, at which point I realised that the songs of his I had heard were really really good. I managed to get into a free concert he was playing here in Regina and...well, everyone knows the story behind that one. So, how did everyone here get hooked. And how many of you were fans of his "before it was cool."

    Demo Help

This is a two-week old computer. I found EVERY other Matt track, but those select few. Every other search I do on Kazaa is for Matt Good stuff in the slight chance I can find those ones. Given the circumstances, I think I did pretty well for myself...
  21. Does it have karate chop action?
  22. Speaking of Matt Good and look-alikes, I've always thought this guy looks alot like Pat.
  23. Speaking of Audio of Being: Take this for what you will, but a musician friend of mine in Vancouver said he worked at the studio where the CD was recorded. I asked if he had any stories about Matt's time there and he said that Matt liked to decorate the studio with "porn, bowling trophies and pictures of people holding bowling trophies." Interesting insperation.

    Demo Help

I'm burning the Demo tracks and B-Sides for my friend's birthday present and I need a couple more songs to complete the list. From the 4 demo tracks, all I need to get is "The Bombmaker", Last of the Ghetto Astronauts" and "Go Fly Blind". For the B-Sides, I just need "Big City Life" which I was going to get from the NF store, but now its sold out. If anyone can send me these, and any Bon Tempo/Rodchester track I'd appreciate it and I can send any of the tracks that I do have. I need to get the CD done by Friday. E-mail: [email protected] Oh, and I posted a request for these in the Marketplace too, but it seems thats really more for buying CDs where as I just need the individual tracks sent by e-mail.
  25. You missed the point completely. He's saying that if you don't like the music thats fine, as long as you don't enjoy it based solely on the music and not because its classified as a different band, style, genre ect.
