You can hardly hear or distinguish kirks guitar on any Metallica CD except for Load/Reload, since he usually just follows James completly until a solo. Pretty much the opposite of Dave Genn.

Ya, alot of these bands arent really desrving of the term "rock". ever heard Kid A or Amnesiac by radiohead? and RHCP's are funk/punk by nature. with that I would say that its kinda har to choose one in particlar, but some good choices are Foo Fighters, Matthew Good, or Weezer. Like I said, hard to choose.

Vinyl is dead, ad CD's are going soon as well. As far as a WLRRR vinyl, it would only be for novelty purposes.
