  1. "You've been a saucy little bunny boy..."
  2. I will definitely try to do that. I don't have it on the computer, it's on CD so I'll have to rip it. I don't have time tonight so I'll do it tomorrow.
  3. And monkeys and rabbits.
  4. Take the quiz. Prove you are the ultimate Matt Good superfan! Or don't. Whichever you prefer. No cheating! Quiz
  5. I have ascended the ladder of titles to full-fledged Near Fantastican. This means so much to me. I can now die happy.
  6. Well their music is pretty bad but I wouldn't go quite that far.
  7. It seems Matt often writes things down that are found later and used as lyrics. I have a bootleg of Alabama Motel Room which features some extra lyrics that would eventually become lyrics to Giant.
  8. Matt said in the CFOX interview that he had no particular reason for naming it Tripoli. As for my beliefs as to the meaning of the song, it's from the viewpoint of someone very depressed because of perhaps the death of a loved one or a breakup. Perhaps a self-destructive loved one committed suicide "where do you hole up to mutilate the day away from me". The "best to smile" part could indicate it's best to pretend everything's fine and dandy when it's not. " Best to revile...baby Jesus" part could indicate a loss of faith (in God, the world, etc.). "When I lost the car keys" I think means that the death was caused by a car accident(or perhaps a deliberate crash). "Best to stay sleeping...I will awake to be a has been" is an indication that the person is so depressed that they don't even want to get out of bed and they feel they have no future without this loved one and everything feels pointless. "when I lost your heart key" I think means the person feels as if the person who committed suicide didn't love them anymore. So yeah, it's a sad sad song. But a really really good song. Sorry for such a long post. I believe it answers the thread starter's question rather thoroughly. ;)
  9. Wasn't Christian Thor Valdson in Copyright?
  10. I'm sorry, I know what you mean by this but it just sounds so funny.
  11. Matthew Good's lyrics have usually been disjointed and somewhat hard to decipher. A lot of them are open to interpretation and I like that. Only a few of his songs have straightforward lyrics (North American For Life, It's Been A While..., Song For The Girl, A Long Way Down).
  12. Awesome. Great Interview. Love the song selection too. Fearless The Fine Art Of Falling Apart Everything Is Automatic Truffle Pigs Empty Road
  13. That song's called "38 Years Old".
  14. On the In A Coma version it's harder to hear her. She sings mainly during the quiet part where she and Matt sing "It's giving me a bad name".

  16. All I have is the IAWCC single, and I'm not about to pay copious amounts of money for a disc with one or two songs on them (maybe if I had more money).
  17. When I saw the title of this thread I couldn't stop laughing.
