I believe you're referring to Life Beyond/Carmelina, not Fine Art. But there is a recording of Fine Art.

I just added "dimed" to urbandictionary.com. It won't show up for a little while though 'cause the editors have to review it .

Matt's New Stuff Is Far Too Underated

I like MGB's and MG's music equally. Carry on with your discussion. -
Maybe Near Fantastica? And yeah, New Wave would have ruled.

Tragically Hip Songs
Devil On Rollerskates replied to carv's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Since you like Nautical Disaster I'd say start out with Day For Night. Other standouts (for me) include Grace, Too, So Hard Done By, Thugs, Inevitability of Death and Scared. Or you could get the new greatest hits package. I mentioned Wheat Kings a while back. -
I voted for the underdog (which I guess really isn't the underdog considering there are four others with no votes). Sometimes you gotta re-do these polls because people's opinions change. Mine change according to what album I'm currently listening to.

I'm surprised no one has told you to "do your own homework" yet. But I like to be helpful so I'll put in my comments. The "buried in the Earth" part says to me that the person is stuck in a situation they can't get out of, perhaps something that society demands of them. I support this with the "You are an important part of the computer" part. It seems to signify that the person is locked into a certain role and feel as if they're part of a machine that they want no part of. "Born of the sea" I think represents a loss of something, perhaps innocence or free will. "After this mission" seems to mean that people(society) will use you and will then cast you out if you're no longer needed or if you ask too many questions. "Help you to forget" I always thought of as turning the person into an automaton or wiping their memory if they know too much about something top secret.

Most Overrated MG(B) Song
Devil On Rollerskates replied to Shortcut To Moncton's topic in Matthew Good
These are all good to fantastic songs. That said, who would consider 21st Century Living overrated when it's really not a song that many people think of when they think "masterpiece". I don't think any of these songs are overrated so I chose the one I liked the least out of the list. Solid gold. I totally agree that Apparitions is a great song and the fact that it still holds up even after being overplayed on the radio makes it all the more great. Another song title that people need to learn to spell is Carmelina. Police Cars, Avalanche, Born To Kill, Blue Skies, Prime Time, Suburbia, The Rat Who Would Be King and Hunting Rabbits are all on my top ten list so I would never consider them to be overrated. But I do understand how some people may see some of these songs as too stretched out. -

Go to the NF lounge or go to The Double Life and sign up for the MG DC++ Hub. Just download a DC++ client. I believe you have to email penguinsix to register. His email can be found here.

The good audio source is on the hub... if you d/l it, please remember to keep it lossless The HTB on the hub cuts off too. Right after the crowd stops singing the chorus and right before Matt starts singing it. A few other ones are cut short but overall it's still really great and really showcases the intensity of the band's live performance. PM lyuan. He has the Toronto show on FTP. Also, thanks Freaked for the bootlegs.
