If you like toads, not frogs, you take an acid trip. So does that mean you'll get warts on your tongue?

The obvious is terrorism, iraq war and Frances has taken up the media's focus.

I think Spiderman 2 was the only must see movie of the summer. Except, that was release in the spring.

I assume if Matt Good wants us to know something about him he'll announce it in print media or his website.

I'm fine with www.nearfantasica.com and www.matthewgood.org. What more do I need?

I hated the trailers. I've seen the theatrical release of the version on a region-9 DVD. I bought an imported DVD. The North American trailers not only gave away the twist, it made the film look like an action film. For those who have seen it, it's not an action film. I liked it. Though some people say the movie is complicated, I did not find it complicated. There are two people telling the stories, Nameless, and the Emperor. The first set of flash backs are Jet Li's version of how he defeated the Assassins. The last set of flash backs belong to the Emperor. In these last set, the Emperor declares he does not think Jet Li told the truth. Therefore the Emperor tells Jet Li what he thinks REALLY happened. I like Jet Li. He makes good films. Except all his good films, for example Once a upon a time in China, are not hollywood. So it was good to see Jet Li make a good movie.

You had to say you can't say. That'll drive people mad because they want you to tell them but you can't.

The clip of Miller and Matthews is a classic. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw it on TV. They should put in it the vault for generations to see.

Yea...i wouldn't call any of that "acting" by Vin disel. It was mostly him with blacked out googles saying a few cheesy action lines.

I think the movie would have more meaning for me in 20years. When i have kids and suffer mid-life crisis. As of now, I feel none of those so I can't relate to the film.

Do you have to sign some contract that doesn't allow you to say anything on the internet or in print media about the shows?
-
Yea...summer of 2004 movies didn't bust any blocks.
-
Yea...wait for the DVD. Maybe there'll be good commentary to enchance the experience.
-
Yea...but then you would become overweight from the sitting and popcorn.

What about Roger Ebert?

I guess these people mean business and are deseperate to get heard. -
I hardly watch much music. Probably at most 5minutes a week by accident from channel surfing.

I actually supported the Iraq invasion at the time

Careful, that's getting close to Premptive war doctrine. "Iraq has weapons of mass destruction that could harm rest of the world. That is bad. Therefore, we need to invade Iraq to protect ourselves." -
Did you guys see the news footage of some protesters who got through convention security and in Madison square gardens?? Luckily, none of them were terrorists. Just hippees ....

The movie was only 1hr and 30mins. I thought Adrien Brody would have had more screen time. But when you have so many "big name" actors as characters, gotta give everyone some time.

What do you do?

As Canadians, we're are mostly cynical about American foreign policy. Not to mention thanks to Federal legislation, we're not bombarded 24/7 with pro-war messages. As a result, we don't accept what the Bush Administration tells us indirectly. Think what it would be like to live in a large country in constant state of fear. Where every media outlet is constantly repeating "Saddam," "Evil," "Iraq," "Terrorism," "WMD," "Bin Laden," and "9/11." Just hearing those words together the message will embed itself and create associations. Furthermore, social pressures from others. "What you don't agree with us? Then you're a terrorist/anti-american/french/hippee/liberal/democrat/and flip flopper." I don't blame some Americans for being tricked or lied to. The Bush Administration had skillful people tell the public what the should think. Most of the devices and language they used trick the public is psychological. Heck, If I live in the U.S, I would have probably been tricked along with them.
