Hopeless is not Alt-Country. Hopeless is a half hearted attempted at country. It's a nice little ditty but i wouldnt consider it alt country. Empty Roads isnt either. It has country sounds in it, like pedal steel and what not. Do yourself a favor kiddies, and check out these artists. 1. wilco 2. The Son Volts 3. Uncle Tupelo 4. Jayhawks 5. Cowboy Junkies. 6. The chances of another single are pretty slim. To be honest, it doesn't look like Matt has his same commercial appeal circa Beautiful Midnight days. Now, that's not necessarily bad on an artistic basis, but on a commercial standpoint, it's bad if you want to stay with your label. He seems like the type that would like an indie label instead. So who knows? Don't bother contemplating new videos for the album, because i garuntee you that he won't have another one.

yes, this is my first post. this cd is amazing. i highly suggest it to anyone. just amazingly beautiful songwriting.
